if you could be any hero that's ever existed, fictional or non-fictional, who would it be?? o.o;

i choose Dr. Manhattan from Watchmen, for obvious reason (teleportation to anywhere in the galaxy, can vaporize you just by moving hand, can multiply self, can enhance bodily proportions, also teleport/create anything out of nothing) only thing he's incapable of thus far is shapeshifting, as far as i know

also, he can literally see the future, and he doesn't need a costume

Dr. Manhattan is like, a friggin' cheat in the Superhero universe. He has universal intelligence, can do almost anything, has no weaknesses and cannot be killed as he rematerializes after each time his physical body is destroyed. The guy is a friggin god, what makes all the other superheroes impotent in comparison. He really defies any comic book rule there is.
I guess the only downpoint about him is that his knowledge of everything causes him to give up on mankind.

I don't really know WTF Masaya and NCS Corp. were thinking with that series. There's Assault Suits Valken, the most badass of bad, and then there's Cho Aniki, the gayest of gay.

Shitchyea, son. Cybernator's been one of my favorites either since it came out or a year or two after (whenever my bro and I got it for Christmas; think it mighta been the same time Earthworm Jim came out), and playing Assault Suits Valken translated is even sweeter. Shame they monkeyed with the US version as much as they did. I'm also pretty sure Cybernator has no mention of either Masaya or NCS Corp. on the title screen or end credits. (Just checked: NCS is on the title screen.) Always thought as a kid that it was a Konami game. Dammit to hell.

And every time someone talks to me about Metal Warriors, I say "SHUT THE FUCK UP AND PLAY CYBERNATOR ALREADY YOU ASS!"



Now if only I knew how to set up Saturn emulation properly so I could play Assault Suit Leynos 2. Always been so bummered out I could never play that.

The first Assault Suit Leynos a.k.a. Target Earth is such a bitch, by the way. Picked up a copy some years ago and could never get past the first stage.

AND SPEAKIN'A THOSE GAMES, there's a PC-98 Assault Suit-type game I've wanted to play for years called Night Slave. It looks super badass



and has the added bonus of having lesbian hentai cutscenes.

Gotta set up a PC-98 emulator someday also. Can't pass this game up. I can't! It looks like a less badass version of Cybernator but still fun all the same.

And yeah, then there's other rockin' shit in the same vein like Front Mission: Gun Hazard. I didn't get far with the translated version, but I was having fun. Gotta get back to it.

I don't know enough about superheroes to comment here, so instead I will share a joke.  Totally inappropriate, but funny nonetheless.

One day, Superman is flying around the city when he sees Wonder Woman sunbathing, naked and spread-eagle on a rooftop.  Superman thinks to himself, "Gee, I can swoop down there with my Super Speed and be in and back out before she knows what happened.  So he does his thing, and in a split second, he's gone again.  Wonder Woman gets up and says, "What the hell just happened?"  The Invisible Man gets off of her and says, "I don't know, but it hurt like hell!"
