I will choose Clockwork from CVIII.

Principally for the music. And I can´t remember other stage in a ClassicVania´s to do the same: complete the stage, then return to the start in the same stage. I mean, you must climb to the top, fight Grant´s ghost, and be too close to Dracula´s Castle (acording to the map), and then see and hear the bridge collapsing... to then return to the start (with or without Grant) and continue in a different path... and did I mention the stage music :P?

The castle entrance in Order of Ecclesia, because of how epic the atmosphere is. The awesome music fits perfectly, just everything gives off a real "oh-shit-this-is-it" vibe that I never felt in any other CV game.

Dracula's Keep

Best stage ever.
Period.
All versions.
Period.
Because when you finally reach it those stairs, whether they rise in grandeur or lay before you in rubble, you always know what they mean. And as you climb them -- or fly over their ruin -- you know full well what lies in store for you at their top.

Anything that's alternate dimension related like the Dracula's Void in SotN, He'll in DoS but Chaos Realm in AoS wins the match for just because it's the reminiscent of the castle stages in one area that you've already been familiar with with the add on of some new rooms that makes you feel that you're also in an astral plane with the stats in the background. I like how the time is stopped there, making you so eager to see what comes next yet give you a genuine sense of fear that you're now fighting tougher enemies that are also prone to time as well as you are. I think they should add more places like that in a castlevania game.

Also, I would like to point out that I like CVIII, SCVIV,RoB, OoE and LoS because you don't always have to start the game from the Castle, you can also enjoy the journey to the Castle. I praise RoB because from level one, you can decide whether if you want to go start the game from the castle or take the alternate path to the bridge and you can change paths in any level. That was some genius level design. I loved that game so much. While this seems a bit irrelevant because the Castle in LoS was not finale because the boss there was not the last boss, I like the idea of gameplay after the main course. So after the Castle, you still have more of the game before its truly over. That was a good innovation in the series and I'm they should use that idea again the LoS saga is over.

I forgot to mention the Treasury/Gold Mine stage in SCV4. That's a very unique level theme that has basically never been revisited. It had a lot of unique props that have also never been reused. Add to that the music and the effects and you have an amazing stage despite the actual layout not being all that exciting.

They did have a Treasury stage in Harmony of Dissonance (If you can even call it that) But it was mediocre at best and didn't even remotely resemble a treasure room.

I thought there was a vague lingering memory of another stage somewhere with gold coins in the background.

I liked the one room in the SKeleton Cave in OoE with the chandelier made of bones. That room is fucking awesome. It's the one room that used a brown palette.

Definitely Olrox's Quarters. SotN had bodacious atmosphere for all of its stages, but that one is really outstanding.

I also agree with ThouAegis for OoE's skeleton cave. I do believe the chandelier of bones was inspired from an actual cathedral.

It was. Here's the website: http://www.socialphy.com/posts/images-pics/13151/Sedlec-Ossuary_-the-chapel-of-the-skeletons.html

It's also interesting to note that the same bone chandelier looks used in CV: Bloodlines for Dracula's chamber.
