Duration: From now until June 30th
Deadline for submissions: June 28th (11:59 PM PST)
Judgement: by forum poll from June 28th to June 30th at midnight and Winners announced when the votes are all in.
Theme: The Final Stand - Pick a song or take another song and theme it towards the final moment of victory, similar to how Simon's Theme plays at the Drac fight in the end of SCV4.
Rules:
Anything goes! (minus collabs)
Song selection - Anything from any Castlevania title
Note that the song's do not have to be remixes that are changed to suit that situation, but are definitely welcome!
Examples: Simon's Theme - SCV4
Dont Wait Until Night - Haunted Castle
Prizes: Award medals for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners.

Lol no joke, I can definitely relate! I wont be doing much music unless on the weekends until the end of the month. Found out last week that i'll be starting midnight shifts this Sunday and ill be on there until the 28th :-\ needless to say if I dont spend some time with the wife and kids ill be in some serious shit lmao

It's up to you Chernabogue, we take a break or continue on? Another thing to consider to maybe try to get more involvement is let the people decide the theme. What do you think?

Nice job guys.
I have a theme for you.
Choose any Castlevania song and record it with your own acoustic instruments. Acoustic guitars, drums, strings, ect.
Instruments can be sampled and or performed and effects can be used but the source of all sounds must be acoustic from your own microphones. Think of the possibilities!
In other words... No pre existing sound packs or instruments that require electricity are allowed.
This is fun and always turns out very unique when the rules are followed.

I'd definitely be out by default lol. Believe it or not, and for someone who plays and records hard rock/metal, I dont have an acoustic :'( although I do like the idea though!

Mic your electric guitar without an amp. I've done that before! It actually can sound really cool.
Also, all types of things can become instruments. The idea is to promote creativity through limitations. It's a good song writing exercise!
But hey, you guys don't have to go along with this. It's just a suggestion.
Perhaps a simpler suggestion would be to make a solo piano piece? Just piano, performed or programmed.

8) lol ah, i remember those days! I can't tell you how many times as a teenager i would throw a mic in front of my guitar just to make sure i didn't forget a tune the next day lol. I'm open for whatever Chern wants to do. I like both suggestions you mentioned dude, either one would be cool idea ;D

All of the suggestions are cool and the contest can be for 2 months if you want.
