That is an AWESOME Re-Instrumentation, sir.  +1 from me. :D
I totally dig the usage of the CV4 Timpani as replacement for the Heavy Metal Toms, and the tune lends itself so deliciously to those CV4 Instruments, especially the PianoForte and the Flute. :D

I do NOT have Heart of Fire NES version (probably because I did the AoS GBA version).
I probably should do a version based on the NES.  I think my buddy JILost did a pretty great version of it, however.

The first two are almost identical to the original versions, but theme of Simon remix, is very nice.
