Them's fightin' words, son.  >:(

He was Simon the barbarian in CV1-2-4 x68000.

In Chronicles he transitioned to Simone, the beautiful, elegant red haired woman.

In Judgement Simone went down a bad path of crack and prostitution.

In LOS Simone transitioned back to Simon, but hard times on the street had left him worn and haggard.

That Scv4 is so off from how he actually looks in the game.

I've seen that before and wondered what game that artist played?

It's most likely based off of the super famicom art for SCV4

Oh yeah!

I should have realized that.

Man... That famicom cover is so bad compared to the U.S. version.

And what's with the second Simon in the background swinging from the chandelier? He isn't even wearing the same armor. He looks more accurate to the sprite than the one in the foreground.

That cover is just so bad...

That's the part that just looked bizarre to me. His posturing is just so awkward.

Surprised no one posted the pre order page by now, but yeah, pre orders for this thing are up.  The exclusive edition apparently has a chain whip accessory and a cross.

That's no chain whip, its a flail. Don't those figure makers even understand what the vampire killer looks like, let alone how long its supposed to be? Idiots.

I'm not keen on it, tbh.  I can see a bit of spotty paintwork on the top of the belt in the preview image, I'm guessing where Simon's torso joins the bottom half, if the figure comes in two halves: http://www.first4figures.com/images/stories/products/CVSIMBEX/horizontal_23.jpg.  It makes it look sloppy imo, especially considering the price of these things.

It doesn't look great to me either. The only really high quality painted resin statues for a decent price are the dbz ones imo. Some of those suck too, but most are good and you can tell by the photos. I've bought 3 and never been disappointed.

His face isn't right. What the hell? He looks like an alcoholic unshaved druggy body-builder on steroids. Look at those veins, they used old Schwarzenegger pics from "Conan the Barbarian".

They could have copied the X68000 cover better by just... copying it. Seems like they wanted to give him a real-life look, but we all know this kills game characters. I understand Schwarzy's Conan representation is where the original Simon may have come from, but this is like going back to the movie that inspired him.
