Favorite boss: Legion.
Favorite enemy: Malphas or Yorick.

On a somewhat related note, does anyone know wtf is up with this enemy:

Spriggans were depicted as grotesquely ugly, and were said to be found at old ruins and barrows ''guarding buried treasure'' and generally acting as bodyguards. Though usually small, they had the ability to swell to enormous size (they were sometimes speculated to be the ghosts of the old giants).
Certainly their disposition was poor, and they caused mischief to those who offended them. They sent storms to blight crops, and sometimes stole away mortal children, leaving their ugly changelings in their place. In one story, an old woman got the better of a band of Spriggans by turning her clothing inside-out (turning clothing supposedly being as effective as holy water or iron in repelling fairies) to gain their loot.

Huh.  Cool beans.  But this leaves me with the question of... "Why do they have the design they have in Harmony of Dissonance?"

the best monster is the butcher of lords of shadows, the best boss is the fight of mirror of fate because is a hero that is the boss and save his son and that is the best part, if you love you father.

Did she design the enemies? I'll have to check the credits some time.

You know who has some really trippy monsters is Yoshitaka Amano.  I went through some of Amano's old art and it's really... trippy.

1. Did you seriously just suggest that Ayami Kojima's style is 'all anime'?  I hope I've misunderstood and you're just talking about Rondo/DoS/PoR, and Kojima only did some bonus/remake stuff for those games at most.

2.

3. Rather odd to me you don't approve of pretty boys kicking ass, considering Spain's history of art.  Guess you can't be feminine and be a warrior.  That's not insulting at all.

I think Ayami Kojima creates pretty boys, indeed.
What I don't agree is that's a bad thing.
Pretty boys dressing like ancient noble men is one of the things I like the most about the Castlevania universe, even some Lords of Shadows characters.
I wouldn't say they are pretty boys, though. Handsome men would be a more accurate term, in my opinion. And that's always beautiful.
Sometimes, in a world that refuse to show its kind side to us, beauty from an alternate reality can be to our souls the only ease...

Thank you Pfil for such lovely words.
I believe that when Ayami Kojima created those beautiful characters, Castlevania gained more female fans. That was certain in my case.

Thanks to you for liking them!
It was certain in my case, also. I was fascinated with SotN, then knew the rest of the saga (I still recall getting and playing all the games I could, even fan games, one after another, in just a few months), and eventually (and soon) Castlevania became the greatest thing ever to me.

Pfil, can I ask you to do a topic with a list of all fangames that you can recall (even those that only plays like CV or something like that)? Maybe we can turn it in a supreme fangame topic sharing our knowlodge xD

why, always, these child´s specs anything that are not concern from them ?

@GWC: yes she design all art related thing´s on the IGA´s castlevanias. the mechanic´s of the monsters are created by another guy.

lol amanos monsters design looked very ''itch'' from the time that they have designed.

@Leligax
Not a bad idea though create a topic with fangames. can i join the party ?

Legion, no contest. Potentially the most terrifying (and fun) enemy to fight when well-implemented.

I've always thought 64's Chainsaw Frankenstein was extremely underrated.

That was one of the horror pinnacle moments in any Castlevania game. The garden with Frankenstein chasing Carrie was so scary!

Freanky's nothing new for me. But... those two demon dog stone statues at the garden entrance is another matter entirely. I was not really expecting those things to come alive. I kinda felt that they would but I still wasn't sure. I found those to be more on the scary side.

Punaguchi always seemed like the most-notable basic enemy out of Christopher's titles.

(https://castlevaniadungeon.net/forums/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimages2.wikia.nocookie.net%2F__cb20111111083054%2Fcastlevania%2Fimages%2F3%2F3a%2FTAR_PNG.png&hash=a211691475ab83578329c25a8b4b445f)

Although, the redesign turned out disappointing.

This redesigned monster looks like something from Contra, when I seemed it for the first time I was like "what is this thing? they had a plenty of good monsters and then use this random thing?" only to after discover its from GB titles (they dont look like it). Another poor thing is this
(https://castlevaniadungeon.net/forums/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimages2.wikia.nocookie.net%2F__cb20111114140455%2Fcastlevania%2Fimages%2F9%2F9b%2FTAR_FSK.png&hash=82a3ce25c32281edc64e1f203b8384c8)

They redraw almost everything and then recycle a GBA enemy in the worst way possible.

It was always nice to encounter a new enemy while playing Castlevania new games.
I never knew what the next room was going to bring upon myself.
That was exciting.

Oh God I look so forward to new sprite-based games!

My favorite enemy would have to be the Zeldos (the sickle-throwers).
I've got to go with either Granfalloon or Forgotten One for favorite boss. They're both just so wonderfully revolting.
