SPOILER WARNING!
... So, I watched 'Split' by M. Night Shyamalan on a horror movie night. I suppose some of you watched it? It's a 2016 movie.
Anyway, it's a brilliant horror thriller, and I'd totally recommend it, but the ending ruined it for me. Until the part when "the monster" appears it seems like a frighteningly realistic movie. A psycopath with a severe split personality disorder kidnaps three girls. So far so good. The girls try to escape. One of them tries to use his own disorder to escape. Good. Perfect psychological thriller.
... Until they bring in "The Monster" and give him insane supernatural powers. Why, oh why? Why would you ruin a disturbingly realistic story that I could easily see happening in our world by bringing in something so unrealistic at the last part? Ugh, I hate when stories do that. Consistency, I say, you can't intoduce something like this out of the blue!
Anyway, what did you think about the movie?
