It's gotten a little more common, as the internet provides much unfiltered information.

In Songs, I remember (Note: I hum the entire 28 minutes of X-Japan's Art of Life in long waiting instances)
Panic at the Disco; "Haven't you people ever heard of closing the goddamn door" Except now "the" is "a"
Queen; We are the Champions, I distinctively remember it ending with "Of the World" as the instruments fade into silence.

Children's Shows.
I remember in vivid detail in Power Rangers when the Dino-Zords went down it was the end where Serpentra was standing and Rita's Voice saying "We've won"

"I ain't gonna let it get to me I'm just gonna let it get to me" -Knuckles

Yep, I recommend googling Project Foxhole. Out of all the theories this one requires the path of least resistance imho.

Queen; We are the Champions, I distinctively remember it ending with "Of the World" as the instruments fade into silence.

It does do this about halfway through, though, and the buildup to it is pretty much the exact same as the ending (I actually had a "wait what" moment and went back and relistened to doublecheck, and surmised that the similarities in the halfway point and the ending blended together due to not having heard it in awhile and caused a misremembrance). So despite my...ahem, thoughts on the entire theory of "morgan freeman died in superjail" and whatnot, this one actually makes a large amount of sense as to confusion. Same with those damn bears--Stan and Jan released things with different spellings all the time which just lends itself to mass confusion.

That's one I still can't reconcile for my own reasons. There were supposedly actual typos on some of the VHS stickers, as well as a "Berenstein" club of some kind, which doesn't help deciphering what's real.

Although I do believe that much of the ME shock is due to confusion there are a couple of instances which are regarded by believers as more valid examples.

My top examples are:

- Berenstein Bears
- Dolly missing braces in Moon Raker (the scene doesn't make sense anymore)
- Sinbad Genie movie "Shazam" not existing (even though Shazam was referenced in an old tv series sinbad starred in)
- The Matrix line by Morpheus "What if I told you.." not exisitng (I was sure this was a real thing)
- Sally Field's iconic speech line "You like me, you really like me" not existing (She quoted this herself in an interview and I've seen meme's of it around 2008)

None of Moonraker made sense. Don't feel bad about that one.

Surely, you jest ;)

There's a couple like this which don't make sense in general like the whole "Say goodnight Gracie"... skit.

Or Mr Rogers it's a beautiful day in "this" neighbourhood.. Or California Dreaming "I pretend to pray"..

Anywho, say now that's dangerous thinking... Best stick to what I know.

Well I've never actually seen it aside from that one scene. I'm not a Bond fan, aside from Goldeneye and the one where he boned Denise Richards. I liked Goldeneye for N64.

Queen; We are the Champions, I distinctively remember it ending with "Of the World" as the instruments fade into silence.

I remember it ending without the "of the world" part pretty vividly. They started playing it on MTV after Wayne's World made Bohemian Rhapsody popular again. And, for some reason, as a kid I always thought it was funny to yell, "OF THE WORLD!!" whenever the song ended.
It's like Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, but instead it's Who Wants Fried Chicken? I do.

Hmmm, is this from official lyrics? Some lyrics say a, some the, it's a common confusion in many songs.
I also initially thought the lyrics say "closing the goddamn door knob", lol...

In Sonata Arctica's lovely song "Kingdom For A Heart", for example, it's unclear whether the vocalist says "If I only had a heart" or "If I only had her heart".

This is the whole Interview with A/The Vampire thing, which it's honestly too difficult to tell.

It's "The". It's always (officially) been "The."

source: unhealthy obsession with the Chronicles and the novel explicitly refers to Louis as "the vampire" 90% of the time when the scene is he and Daniel in the room together

See I've never read the books or been a fan of the film. However, when I was very young I recalled "The". Then one day I was surprised when I read something that said "A", which I didn't understand for a long time. From what I recall it was more than one occasion. Then I forgot and moved on with life.

Suffice to say it's ended up being "The" not A. Let's say that it must've been some TV guides that mis-wrote the title for a couple of years, which initially caused confusion.
