Title: Was LoI Medusa inspired by 1972 Psycho Jenny?

Sorry for small pictures, but it's what I got to work with. Jenny looks very similar to Medusa to me.

I'd say the LoI Medusa was influenced by the original Castlevania's Medusa as she does the exact same thing; head floating around the room while attacking Simon. I think IGA mentioned this in an interview or something. However, Medusa from the original CV (1986) might have been influenced by said Psycho Jenny. I can see the similarities.

I can see it and it wouldn't surprise me given how much Castlevania borrowed from other horror works. I mean, I only recently found out that Maria in Rondo may have been inspired by Little Maria from 1931's Frankenstein.

I can definitely see it too. Shame that it's black and white instead of color so we can't be 100% sure. But the design is all there.
