General Castlevania Discussion / Re: Main Series Castlevania

Grimoire of souls was the last main series game. It just gets overlooked because it was released on mobile and is currently only available on Apple devices. It continues the story from the series main timeline.

LOS was a hard reboot I would hardly consider that a mainline game.

I may be wrong but i believe the last canonical entry was Order of Ecclesia, way back in 2008

I read somewhere online that the last time a main series Castlevania game was released was 10 years ago.  Can someone please clarify me on this?

Really nice work! You're almost inspiring me to crack open my McFarlane Robert Pattinson Batman and fix his weirdo side eyes. 👀

With the last few requests in my inbox had been dealt, the reworking progress had been once again in halt. In time I'll have different other projects in store so I cannot guarantee there will be something moving for LC2's rework in a while.
It's been fun to gather talented people for a community rework project this huge!

My new theory... Chronicles of the Wolf was delayed last year to coincide with the launch window of the Switch 2. 8)

Thanks for the compliments! As for your question, it takes lots & lots of practice my friend. Was thinking about doing Simon next, but I don’t think he needs it as bad as the Succubus & this Dracula did. If they do figures for Castlevania: Nocturne & Alucard/Richter/Maria are made, maybe I’ll consider upgrading them, depending how good or bad they turn out. But we’ll see what happens.

New Year Update!

After years of relentless grinding on this project, we finally released Carpathian Night Starring Bela Lugosi in 2024! I could not be more happy with the results, and thanks again to this community, which undeniably played a role in the creation of this game.

2025

Ports: Our most recent release was the Nintendo Switch version, and now our focus has shifted to the Xbox port. After the release of the Xbox version, we begin work on the Playstation port. We should have CNsBL on all major platforms by the end of 2025.

Localization: We plan to add a localization feature sometime in 2025, likely starting with Spanish and Portuguese.

Extra Content: No promises, but we are interested in adding more content, such as new levels, a boss rush mode, new cutscenes etc... but this is likely a late 2025 project, as we have to focus on console ports and localization first.

To another year of vampire hunting!
