All ye members of this forum, since we've got our own clan in the Bloodstained game, if you've backed the Kickstarter at the $100+ level please represent and put your name under the "Dungeon clan".
-
Yay! They noticed us!
-
just changed my Kickstarter name to Reinhart77. not sure if that's necessary in order to use that name in the credits, as i'm sure you'd be given a chance to enter the name you want to use in the survey. i was hoping my previous kickstarter comments would be updated to show this name, but nope.
-
I was thinking the same thing, Reinhart. I would assume they give you the option, but people should double-check of course.
I expect to see much representation.
-
w00t :D
-
I have backed enough change to qualify for this.
Sign me up!
-
The fact that there's a Dungeon clan makes me want to up my pledge to $100. T_T
-
Hmm this is very tempting
-
How are we going to credit ourselves? Real name, username, or both, like John "Dungeon Username" Smith?
Because if it's the latter then I demand Jorge credits himself Jorge "Jorge Fuentes" Fuentes.

LOL!!!! Jorge "Jorge D. Fuentes" Fuentes
I know some members would just credit themselves using their usernames in the dungeon since not everyone wants their real names out in public. But that John "Dungeon Username" Smith is a great idea for those who want to use it.
-
Well, considering I pledged over $100, you have my whip, Dungeon Clan!
-
*goes to get money*
-
That's right....DON'T MAKE MY EFFORTS FOR NOTHING, YA DAMN INGRATES!
:P
-
I'm definitely opting for the Dungeon clan. I'm really happy that we got this. I'm probably going to go for using my username here, for obvious reasons.
-
I'll probably use my real name. So that my children can be proud that I supported IGA when he needed me. :'D

I'm gonna do "Phenix "Kokushibyo" Patton"... Or possibly use ZSG instead of koku.
-
I'll use my real name. Either that or Mysterious Warrior.
*jumping spinny fist thing*
-
Or, you know....use your Dungeon names.....
...for the Dungeon Clan....
Yeah. o_O
Seriously, we should probably agree on a universal way of doing it.
First Name "Dungeon Name" Last Name
(unless you're Jorge....good forethought there :P )
-
It was a joke.
-
Jorge "It will always be Brinstar, dammit!" Fuentes :P
I would use my username, but sadly I dont have all this money to pledge, its too expensive to me.
-
I have the copyrighted name "metroid" in my username, but hell if that's going to stop me from trying. I've been using this stupid amalgamation of a username for way too long not to.
-
I think that Metroid=/=Pokemetroid so you should be fine.
-

Likewise I came up with Neobelmont to support the future of the franchise and I'm not going to give up on this name so you don't either.
-

True, I enjoy that idea, I should be fine.
I could also claim that it's "poke-me-troid", and it just so happens to look like it spells "metroid", just as some weird excuse.
So yeah, poke me, troid, I dare you.

Belmont isn't a copyrighted name, silly. :P
-
Damnit! And I'm short on cash these last few weeks. I'll be lucky if I even get in on the physical copy.
-
Usernames are fair use. It doesnt matter if they're in reference to copyrighted material.
But yes, name formats... That is a good question. I personally would think first to use my actual name but it is a valid point that if it is under the Dungeon clan, it would make sense to use the forum name, I guess.
-
I guess it would depend if they put a character limit on the names. Otherwise a combination of both could be cool.
-
[First name "username" last name] would work wonders, unless you're Jorge.
-

Nah, man. "Jorge "Jorge D. Fuentes" Fuentes" looks cool as hell!
-
Given the option, I'll probably just use my username. "Abnormal Freak" is terribly generic these days, but within the Dungeon Clan there's context at least.
If I decide to do [first name "username" last name], I'd have to shorten my name from how I usually sign it since it's long enough as it is, lolz.
If I do donate $100, lewl. I wouldn't wanna miss this opportunity, but $60 is more to my liking.
-
I've donated $60 (+$5 for shipping) yesterday :)
-
I still can't decide how to do my name real, forum, or both. On the one hand I wanna use my real name, so anyone out there who ever might care knows *I* made that contribution. But then, I've always been pretty uncertain about using my real name for anything, especially when it comes to the internet. Unless there's a character limit, I'm definitely using my dungeon name...gotta represent! ;-P
-
It would be nice to come up with some uniformity that doesn't look gross.
I'll use my name as an example...
Christopher "Abnormal Freak" Jacobson just looks odd.
Abnormal Freak/Christopher Jacobson I like for the duality but the slash is kinda dumb.
Abnormal Freak (Christopher Jacobson) could work best. Since it's under the Dungeon Clan, I think using the username first makes the most sense.
Then for those who only wanna use their username can still fit within the uniformity.
But if there's a character limit, I'm forked, so I guess I'd just use my username.
Edit: Or, you know, I kinda even like:
Christopher (Abnormal Freak) Jacobson
It was mostly the quotation marks uglifying that first one for me.
-
Of course I will be in the Dungeon Clan but, at the moment this is the first (maybe last) game with my name in the credits, I will put my full name. ;)
-
Congratulations on getting in as a backer clan. I haven't posted here in about a decade, but I appreciate that this place has always been here and always will be. I'm also glad Operation: Akumajo got a clan. For those who backed bloodstained, thanks!
-
Well, they asked for my information finally, yesterday.
I'll be in the credits under the Dungeon Clan as Lash.
Edit: You're allowed 18 characters, and only certain symbols are permitted (quotation mark isn't, but you can still use apostrophe).
-
Due to the character limit, I went with: First name First Letter of last name (Forum Handle), like
Jorge F (Jorge D. Fuentes) ;D
Also, what versions did you guys pick? I went PC digital and Vita physical.

Jorge F (Jorge D. Fuentes) ;D
Wish I could do that, but my username is 17 characters long. If I could, I would do the same thing.
-
Wh00t, I got the survey & filled it out! :D
-
Noice, me too! :D
-
Just put myself in as Abnormal Freak. Character limit's too small and it's best this way.
-
Got my survey today. I upgraded to the $100 tier and got the PS4 version. I used my real name in the credits, though. You'll see me there as "Austin J. Parish".
-
Think I'll change mine to "REAL Jorge F" or something just to make conspiracy.
-

Maybe I should change mine to "CastleJorgeFuentes" just to be funny. It's also 18 characters exactly.
-
I used my real name, but i had to limit it, because of the characters limit.
-
Used my real name as well: Nickolas Butler.
Feels so awesome to be a small part of making the next CV SS happen!!! Going to be a long wait sure, but hopefully so worth it!
-
I didn't know about the Dungeon Clan. I had to go back and change my credit clan. I just used my forum name, though.
-
How late can I upgrade from $60 tier, I wanna represent!
-

They are still allowing upgrades as mentioned from their latest update.
-
I bought my copy last week and added my name under the Dungeon. Can hardly wait to play!
-
I used my real name.
-
I just upgraded my tier and assigned the the Dungeon Clan woo hoo!
-
Said this when I joined and made myself known back during the campaign, but I should state my allegiance to the Dungeon Clan here as well, for posterity. Will be going with my username.
-
I finally upgraded to get my name in the credits and had just enough space to put my name followed by my username.

Our Dungeon has a special secret in the game!
1) At the title screen, press any button.
2) Start a new game and select any of the New Data slots.
3) Name entry should pop up. Delete the default "Miriam" and enter what people from this dungeon would call themselves (or PM me for the answer).
4) If it succeeds, a specific sound effect will play.
5) Continue to select the difficulty level.
6) The game will start with the unlocked item inside of your inventory.
Your file’s name can be changed afterwards during the game, but your in-game item can only be unlocked when starting a new game.
-
So, what's the ingame item?
-
Maybe keep that a surprise for people perhaps?
-
But would I have to have donated money to see it? I mean is this item special?
-
No, you do not need to have donated money.
We at the Cvdungeon already did our part by backing the game via our support during the SwordOrWhip publicity campaign.
-
Pardon me for being a dunce, but where exactly do you go to list your name under clans? Is it a website?
-
Back when you were backing the game via Kickstarter, you were asked a survey of questions. One of them was what clan you wanted to belong to.
So when you opu in your backer ID (#xxxxxx), it'll show your backer info on the filename.
Note that none of this has to down with the secret Dungeon Clan item. That one can be accessed by anyone who renames Miriam's name to the code when starting up a new game.
-
Just beat the game tonight. It was nice to see my name on there with everyone else's but I just realized I've hardly posted anything here. I just kinda lurked in the shadows over the years reading, never responding. But I am glad to say I am proud to have associated myself with the Dungeon Clan!
-
That's pretty cool, Sul..
I've been quiet on here too as of late.
I'm about an hour in on Bloodstained. I waited to play it after I got a Switch Lite, and it is slow / looks ugly at times. Other times, it's super rich and beautiful.
Blasphemous is the game that has me now, though.

Is the special weapon a one-time use or something? It's been two years since I last played the game and only got like 31% map completion and decided to start over, but starting a new file with the special file name doesn't grant me anything. It worked previously.
Edit: Never mind, the name is supposed to be all-caps.
