seems a lot of people here want an "art book" of some sort. considering the amount of art books that have been released over the years, i think that'd be a pretty boring & pointless addition for the anniversary (srsly did u guys miss the sotn artbook? the loi artbook? the aos artbook? the por artbook? the dxc artbook? the los artbook? ayami kojima's artbook? how many times do you guys want to see recycled images each year?)

Agreed. The same goes for soundtracks. If you don't have the music on your iPod already, do you even really want it?

I really REALLY do not want just a wallpaper or soundtrack compilation or anything like that for the anniversary gift.

If they want to include that with the REAL gift then fine but that should not be THE anniversary gift since that would just be cheap and dumb in my honest opinion.

I just want a game! The reason I like video games is because... y'know.. they're video games, not movies or books. I have plenty of those already. Let games be games.

I see your point, but I live in an area where online ordering is tedious in the first place and I am not able to get the items easily. Even though I have most likely seen everything in those books, there is a thrill in having them in a tangible form, which isn't easy for me. I'm still trying to buy Ayami's art book and can't afford it, and I don't have any of the others you mentioned. Also, since you most likely own the books already (I should wager "do," since your collection is so awesome) it isn't too exciting. With "The Art of Gyakuten Saiban" I already owned the 2-book set. So getting the American version, I was like "hmm, I've seen this all before, I think I could have just translated this."

If we did get an artbook, I would want it to be as part of a larger package. I certainly wouldn't want it alone. I don't know what I want for a game because I have so many ideas. But I definitely want one, preferably a collection of some kind! I'll take anything unrelated to LoS.

and tell me, what is so embarrassing about pooling ideas for the 25th anniversary? I think everyone else here had a lot of good ideas. Cutting in with a one-liner that way isn't going to prove much of anything and, if it adds anything to the topic, it's the notion that you're going to sit on this topic with a condescending air, which generally doesn't go over too well.

I'm kind of thinking the same thing. I'd be perfectly happy with another Wiiware title (although I'd prefer physical form with a box and everything, but I digress).

I know it's already been mentioned, but I'd love to see an encyclopedia, just like what they did with the Metal Gear Database. And if they updated it with future games as they were released, even better. This would be an awesome download to supplement an anniversary game.

A new WiiWare title would be tiiiiits. I enjoyed the heck out of ReBirth; it's honestly the most fun CV game to come out in a very long time, in my opinion. Best since the N64 games, definitely. I like it old school.

It's already been mentioned a bunch of times, but a WayForward Classicvania 2D sprite game would be amazing, if Contra 4 is anything to go by.

But the year's more than half over. Unless Konami's been working at something for quite some time and just keeping it under wraps, I don't think we'll see anything like a game by the end of this year. An announcement, maybe, but then...what's special about that? It kinda seems like Konami didn't really think this much through and are kinda fumbling last-minute to think something up.

'Course, maybe I'm just not giving them enough cred and they've been brewin' something astronomical this whole time.
