At least it say that the DS Castlevania will be something new from what we know until now and that it is in development and soon we will have the first info about it.Also IGA said that he has some ideas on how to make a Wii castlevania, using the Wii Controler, without making people get tired.

We might actually get a 2.5D game for the consoles if DXC sells well. You heard it, everybody buy DXC!

that would be a motivation for me NOT to buy it. I think that 2D should stay 2D and 3D should stay 3D you can never properly get the aspects of a 2D sidescroller into 3D the 2D atmosphere is what makes it special.

I fear with that as a goal, 2D would be doomed.

Except "2.5D" is the best bet for 2D gameplay to sneak its  way onto modern consoles.  Once it's there and established, then they can work their way up to 2D visuals, as well.  But they have to get that far first, which means it would behoove us all for The Dracula X Chronicles to sell very well.

2D on a console, if done right can beat the crap out of 2.5D any time. A perfect example would be Odin's Sphere on the PS2. The high resolution sprites and fluid animation make the game seem almost like an animated film.

But on the down side, it took them about 4 years to make the game and has some horrible slowdown in alot of key battles. However with a next gen system, the formula could be greatly improved upon.

Pretty soon Americans and Europeans aren't going to be so accepting of CV, either, if we keep getting 3 hour games... :P

Well, all the recent games have given other things we can do instead of just killing Dracula to lengthen the game.  I have really liked most of the ways this has been done.  Weapon forging is a personal favorite of mine.

Dracula was not always a monster. He was once a man named Mathias Cronqvist. A flawed, conflicted, genius of a man. How did the educated, aristocratic, crusader who piously served the church become a vampire, and eventually the Dark Lord himself, the opposing force to God? From a very young age terrors and tragedy shaped the man into the king of all evil. This is his story.

I suppose what Jerkofwonder said is true, but this alone isn't enough for making the game more acceptable.

Maybe a extra scenario, with new stages and enemies that you could play only wifi, after you have beat the main game scenario,so you want spoiled your game. That would be fantastic and not just another wifi boss rush mode=boring.
