raising ripoff flags is really silly considering a large part of the industry copy each other, even to a closer degree than mainstreamers admit.
also copying has led to greater things. you know Windows wouldn't even exist if its founder didn't steal/copy code from Xerox. and while Windows has its issues, it really improved a lot of lives and is still the standard OS that a lot still use.
Mortal Kombat is a Street Fighter ripoff. even though it does some things differently, it still basically carbon copies SFII's fighting game fundamentals of structure.
Street Fighter is a ripoff of multiple concepts and character designs, including Yie Ar Kung Fu, Fist of the North Star, Mike Tyson, and more.
Nintendo's western SMB2 is a direct ripoff of Doki Doki Panic, and fans to this day benefit from the reinventions and new designs that came out of it, aside from the obvious copy pasting.
Castlevania SOTN can be said to be a Super Metroid ripoff of its genre.
Overwatch is a Team Fortress ripoff.
Rosenkreuzstillette is a MM ripoff, and actually made better games and characters than the MM series.
I dunno about "Castlevania HD" successor though. Castlevania has 6 players online co op, a vast selection of playable characters, how much stages/chapters does that hunter game have? The character designs look cool.
Well it does deserve support, you don't see Konami caring about Castlevania. at least some developer is something cool for gothic hunter fans
