You're an amateur sprite artist, but you're definitely not bad.  You've got some talent, as that's pretty good for someone just starting out.
Don't sell yourself short.  You'll get even better with practice.

Thanks Jorge! I'm doing my best!
I'll explain my situation here :
I'm working around two projects, helping a friend and making my own game. So I may not be updating SO MUCH this thread but at least once a week I'll :3

The stone mode I made for Richter:

I like to keep you guys seeing what I'm doing like things you might have something to say about: sprites or a engine idea.
You can say anything, really. Thanks for the help so far!

I remade his sprites walking :3 I changed from the julius walk to the richter walk, now his arms animation must be better. About the village, I'm still working on the level design, since I'm not a sprite artist I'm not that good with backgrounds, but the idea about photoshoping a heat wave really seems nice for the houses that are in the background, the houses that are more in the front I'll try to apply some coloring so it seems like a fire atmosphere is going around...
Exactly dude, for sprites like fire and such if you can't find an exact sprite that you are looking for you could probably sprite the sprites yourself and create your own animation sequence. Also, it would seem that you are very SOTN orientated with making your game. Is this more of an action title where you play the stage defeat a boss rinse and repeat (Rondo of Blood) or more like go to stage A to get jump boots in zone B to gain access to zone C. (SOTN) Any chance to play as multiple characters?

I do love sotn, but I'm thinking about the rondo way! - even if I wanted it would take a long time until I could find a way of making that room a room b door here door there + map thing. I've never made a map, neither the room system, so I can't make a map system for the room system. :/ LOL (But I'd love to make a sotn based game one day!)
Yep I'm thinking about adding Maria to the party! Or another character. Any suggestions?
I didn't make the flame sprite at first because I'm not good with effects :/ But the flame I'm using is the creaking skull's one, but with its pallete changed. :3

LOL! That's insane! Richter got his balls rocked by a bunch of Medusa heads.

That's awesome! It's like seeing CV2's village buildings but with a slight, but not too overpowering update. I personally think you hit the nail on the head with that one. But like Inccubus mentioned; don't forget the rain gutters  ;)
