Topic: Castlevania Leon Belmont Sprites! - DS Style (WIP)

Well, first of all, hi everybody, and welcome to my first post on this fanpage!

There's one thing that you need to know about me...my english is not very well, so if you see that there's a word that you can't understand, I'm REALLY sorry about that...I will do my best to write everything right.

As you can see, the name of the topic says that I'm doing the sprites of Leon Belmont from the game Castlevania - Lament of Innocence, I was searching if someone in the world did that, and I had found just ONE, and it's kinda cool, but...it could be better, so I kept searching...and I had found one that I reaaally liked it. A guy on the page vg-resourse.com called Kamoe did sprites for characters from Castlevania, BUT! He did it with the DS style, and that's something that I really love, the smooth of the movements, it's so cool...you can search it if you wanna see his job.
I have taken the only sprite of Leon that Kamoe did, the standing sprite, and now I'm doing the movements and animating it.

Movements:

• Stand: Done
• Run: Done
• Crouch: Done
• Ready (Pressing Up): Done
• Forward Roll: Done
• Back Dash: Done
• Slide:  Done
• Jump+Double Jump: Done
• Air Kick #1: Done
• Air Kick #2: Done
• Super Jump: Done
• Whip Attack: Done
• Sub-Weapon Attack: Done
• Item Crash: Working On
• Hurts: Done - on Monday, March 9th, 2015
• Death: Working On
• Miscellaneous Sprites: Not Yet

Well, here's the archive:

Leon Belmont Movements (Work In Progress)  - UPDATED Sunday, January 11th, 2015

It's an animation, you only need WinRAR to decompress it, and your favourite browser (Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, Opera, etc.), you only need to do Right Click on the SWF file, "Open With...", and then choose your favourite browser.
You just only need to do like you're playing the game, with the arrow keys you move Leon, when pressing down, press Space to do the Slide, when you're running, press Backspace to do the Forward Roll, and...yeah, for now, that's the only thing that you can do, this is something that it will take a while...
(Maybe there will be a bug in the animation...I'm not really good programming, so if you see something wrong, just close the archive, and re-open it).

If you can comment what do you think, if I'm doing it right, what do you like and what you don't like, I will appreciate it so much your opinions.

P.S: Oh...And if you are wondering...Yes, you can make him dance like the gif on my signature...pressing right and left fast.

I like the sprites overall, but I would've preferred if you didn't use Soma as a base for his animations in general.

First of all, thanks for the welcoming =D and yes, I'm not too good making sprites, but for the only animation that I did use Soma's base, was for the crouch, if you compare them, you will see that it's almost the same XD I like how it's his crouch, maybe later I will change it, there are many things that I need to fix, the running sprite too, his torso doesn't move much :/ By the way thank you for comment!

P.S: Are you the guy that helped Vedora for his sprites of Leon? Or am I wrong? .o.

Sorry for double post...but I need your opinions guys D: I have not decided yet how it will be the sprite of going back, what would you like more guys? I have 3 ideas for that movement:

• Dash Back
• Back Roll
• Or something like this one that Donoffrio did for the sprite from Vedora, this one is more like the original:

(I will not copy the same sprite using it as a base, but it helps me to see how is the movement).
