In all honesty they should just make a sequel to Super Castlevania IV, which would essentially be a remake of Simon's quest (Since SCIV canonically replaces CV1) but with SCIV controls, SCIV style graphics, and most importantly 8 way whipping and 'dangle'

This idea is so awesome that words can't describe it.

This magic whip could be an example of advanced alien technology.

oh yeah. now were talking

1. draculas curse - a modern day 2d or 3d reboot, keep the old 2d classicvania gameplay & mechanics that made it awesome though.

2. akumajou dracula x chi no rondo (rondo of blood) - time to make it accessible, for everyone, & not just PS ppl or emulators. keep the jap. audio, with English subtitles. hammer out whatever copyright & region restrictions that are stopping this from becoming a reality. its simply the best non NES classicvania, ever, (imo) & everyone should be able to at least try it.

3. simons quest - could definitely use an HD make over, translations included.

4. super castlevania 4 - ah what the heck, put all these games together on one or two discs, no digital only b.s.

they're all quintessential classicvania gold & should be welcome in any old school cv fans collection.

don't have to use passwords, lol, but manual (for simons quest) or auto saving between levels, would work for the rest.

This idea is so awesome that words can't describe it.

Simons Quest had the most potential out of any CV game, particularly in terms of a remake.
Infact I really hope the old canon continues in 2d and any potentially new canon can be either 2d or 3d. Unless they Resurrect Resurrection or reimagine the older 3d titles.

Curse of Darkness. Just imagine how good the game would be when good level design is present?

I would actually like to see a Castlevania 1 & 2 remake as one cohesive game, with LoS style gameplay. The start of the game has you go through the castle, complete with stage setups mirroring the original stages. After killing Dracula, part 2 starts, and it becomes an open world adventure. Ideally with less climbing than LoS2. Damn that game has a lot of climbing!

I third wanting to see Legends remade.

DO it with modern sprites, in color, with optional arranged music. Keep all of the original levels but also make new ones (more stuff before the actual castle would be nice).

Get Ayami Kojima on art and Michiru Yamane on music.

Add in the Japanese manual's full backstory into the game (the English manual leaves some stuff out). Add voices for Sonia and the other characters and include more cutscenes.

Include 8-direction whipping. Allow Sonia to use the subweapons that she finds.

Add a Boss meter on the screen.

Bonus materials could include galleries of the original manuals, boxes, carts, and also new artwork. Throw in the original games as well.

You forgot one important element; A properly lengthened vampirekiller whip. It was just too short in Legends. Even shorter then what Christophorus had in his two gameboy adventures.

That's true. Also, speed Sonia up.

Yes to all of this. Even though I thought the game was okay, the level design left much to be desired, especially where the similar corridors are concerned.

Anyway, games I'd like to see remade would include Simon's Quest, Dracula's Curse, and Legends (changing the story of course).

I really want to see Harmony of Dissonance remade. The soundtrack is actually really good IMO but the quality leaves much to be desired. The difficulty needs to be balanced, as well. Juste is way too powerful in that game, or the enemies are too easy. I would also want to see more bosses from the other games. Slogra & Gaibon plus Medusa would be cool. There's even some LOS enemies that would be fun to see, like the Inner Dracula model or Riders of the Storm.

Simon's Quest, of course. I'm surprised no one hasn't done a fan remake by now.

Vampire Killer with continues would make it bearable.

Simons' Quest, in 3D, developed by From Software (im thinking Dark Souls with Simon Belmont)

also Bloodlines as a full HD 2D remake
