Title: I wonder what the voice actors of the Zelda CD-i games have done since then
Post by: Lumi Kløvstad on March 25, 2017, 02:53:56 PM
Topic's in the title. Behind the Voice Actor's isn't turning up much post-CDi work at all, but it's also not an infallible website.
On the other hand, it's also not exactly hard to believe the games were just so bad they destroyed any and all possible careers for these folks.

I'd also be remiss not to make a CD-i related topic without posting one of the great parodies made of those games.

Honestly, I doubt they were ever actually "actors".  I think it was more along the lines of "well, who do we have here that can do voices?"

Honestly it kind of screams the sort of "quality" va we got in Symphony of the Night, but far, far, FAR worse. But not "Last Alert" level bad, thank god. But not much better either. It's nowhere close to good, but shockingly far from ironic horribleness. The CD-i games just seem like they were voiced by hobos who were pulled off the street and handed $60 for their time.

Kind of like the SOTN Succubus and Richter, who I've always felt were similarly all around terribad. Then again, they're still light years beyond this schlock.
