Heath Ledger was found dead Tuesday in a Manhattan apartment in a possible drug-related death, police said. He was 28.

According to the New York Times, Ledger was found naked and unconscious with pills strewn all around him in an apartment owned by actress Mary-Kate Olsen. Police sources told the Times that the death appeared to be a suicide.

NYPD spokesman Paul Browne said Ledger had an appointment for a massage at the apartment. The housekeeper, who went to let Ledger know the masseuse was there, found him unconscious at approximately 3:30 p.m. ET, according to the New York Times. After receiving no response from the actor after shaking him, they called authorities.

Figures, drug related... I seriously don't get these actor guys and their drug problems. I wonder if its addiction or just suicide, I mean he was in a girl's room right?

The news reports are all saying it was accidental, and that pneumonia was a factor as well. His family's denying the possibility of suicide.

I don't see how it can be really, overdosing on sleeping pills seems kind of hard todo, but then again, what do I know, I don't take them, really.

Eh, from the info, it looks like he was pretty happy with his life. He was having a lot of trouble sleeping, and probably got incredibly frustrated with it(as I do when I can't sleep well for a long period of time), and took a ton of sleeping pills without thinking about the problem with that probably until after he finished downing them.

That's my theory.

Yeah it hit me pretty hard. My friend told me and I didnt even reply I just went straight to google and started readin. He was one of my fav actors ever since 10 Things I Hate About You.

I was pretty shocked. I doubt itll impact Dark Knight at all cause like someone else said its in post production.

A tragic loss.
