That's a bit like Al-Qaeda;
Eeeeh, not really. Al-Quaeda IS an organization, with a structured order and leadership. Sure it might have some branch or people who decide to act of their own accord, but they have an established order.

Anonymous, is just any one person or group of persons. You cannot properly categorize it as a specific group or individual. They are essentially, uncategorizable, except as being "anonymous".

Well, it seems the attack was mostly a failure. The uber-h4x0r skills of anonymous were greatly exaggerated.

http://www.scmagazineuk.com/anonymous-claims-victory-in-huge-cyber-attack-on-israel/article/287806/

Quote
Cyber attackers claiming to be linked to hacking collective Anonymous struck at Israeli targets over the weekend. However, despite claiming to have taken down government-run websites and caused billions of dollars in damages, Israeli authorities said the attacks were largely unsuccessful.

One tweet suggested the attacks had caused a huge amount of damage: “#Anonymous partial damage report, 100k+ websites, 40k Facebook pages, 5k twitter & 30k Israeli bank acc got hacked ~ $3-plus billion damage,” the tweet said.

However, no evidence has been supplied to back up this claim. A number of sites reportedly taken offline by Anonymous, including the websites of Mossad, the Ministry of Defense and the Israeli Prime Minister, were in fact available at the time of writing.

Authorities in Israel have said the attack caused very little damage to the nation's cyber infrastructure and they retaliated by arresting a number of suspected hackers in Jordan. Yitzhak Ben Yisrael, of the Israeli government's National Cyber Bureau, told the Independent that the attacks were more likely to be a publicity stunt.

You believed in that? lol
They dont have "hacker super powers", I knew it since the beginning. They only try to DDoS some sites and use some automated program that tries to find the right password.

Once in a time someone that really knows something cool appears to help, like in the Megaupload incident.

Lol at the picture.

Again, due to the nature of Anon not being any one person or group of peoples, their hacking efforts can vary in success. Sometimes they have a person or two who know what they are doing. Other times, it's just an attempt to DDoS the site.
