Topic: why they take so long making Castlevania games?

PoR was not a Castlevania game by any means.

How can we say what makes a Castlevania game a, errr..., Castlevania game? I too despise the game, but there's no denying its a Castlevania title. Just done very sloppily.

While I don't mind the Metroidvania rehashes, I think the main detrimental force in the success of the last several games are the constant comparisons and expectations to SotN. The problem is, IGA and his team think that they have to top SotN, too, but the only thing that can be symphony is symphony. It's too popular for the series. Some people on other message boards talk about how they bought DXC just for SotN, ignoring the fact that they're playing just a 1/3 of three great games.
They have to get their collective heads together and quit beating around the bush and hoping to relive 1997.

truth is i wanted it more for sotn too with the add on's;D
beat rodeo too many times.lol
and i've beat the new sotn many times now but still haven't beat the new rodeo
but i'm 30 years old its just shows everyone old and little ones loved sotn no wonder iga has tried so hard to do it again.
but he won't do it by reusing sprites and backgrounds with a shit poor story :

he just need to give it a few years and work out something cool,or better yet let some other ppl come in and help out he don't need to be the only man working on castlevania!
but maybe his ego said he should so maybe a few more pos and will get some new blood.
don't get me wrong he has skillz and could do better.
but i think he needs to slow down and refine the story and not just have a brain storm and say this is what we're doing next!!
