I'm almost finishing this game.
30 hours of gameplay, 20 episodes.
I tried to unlock everything I could. I still can't figure how to unlock costumes.

The aesthetic look is at par with Curse of Darkness, it's one of the most beautiful worlds in PS3.
The music is a masterpiece of epic music. This is the kind of music I'd like LoS would have had if they wanted to make it epic. It's at the same level of the Soul Calibur saga.
The story is tragic and really interesting.
And the gameplay is an original escort mission with a lot of different powers, spells, upgrades and combinations.
It features a high challenge and a lot of death pits.

I really, really enjoyed this game.
But... every critic on the web gave it, at top, 7/10 points. Most of them gave it 5 points.
I mean... am I missing something?
I am not the owner of the truth or anything, but as much as I try hard and hard, I can't find anything negative about the game. Maybe the QTE's, but they are short, easy and esporadic, and a couple chapters that felt repetitive, but they were a little portion of the game. The rest was great. The beauty was breathtaking, the music was tragic and powerful with neoclassical basis, the story was great, and the gameplay was complex and original, yet very familar and entertaining, and easy to master with practice.

I don't know if I am missing the point, but most critics complain about being thrown to an abyss in the middle of some boss fights because they have to start over the boss. Had they played 8 bits and 16 bits games I don't know what they would be saying.
And some of them complain because Gretchen is weak and constantly puts herself in danger. But isn't that the challenge and fun in an escort mission? Remember Ico and Resident Evil 4...
I compare it to other action games and I think it is at the same level of Bayonetta, and that it's better than most DMC games. I don't mention God of War because I never got into that franchise.

Most of times I don't understand critics.
But maybe I am the one who is wrong, I don't know.

Did anyone play this game? And what do you think about it?
Now I'm tired, eternally walking... forever dying, and never stopping. I feel in sorrow, all I see is white. I’m following a blind way beneath a sad sky.
