Also check goat's CV album (http://www.powergoat.com/page2.html), he did CV2 and CV3, and two 10+ minutes medleys, pure awesomeness. "Scourge of 1961" is one of the best CV remixes I've ever heard.
CASTLEVANIA III: DRACULA'S CURSE by The Amazing BrandO (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ju0Z6NquldM#)
Anywhere I can download the background music for this (without the vocals)? Amazing Brando's website directs me to Megaupload, and the regular download isn't working. The MegaUpload link worked for me.
This doesn't count as a remix... because it's an arrangement... of the ORIGINAL Piano piece. It also uses a Bach piece if I remember correctly ('Chromastiche Phantasie', I think)
But it's quite enjoyable. Castlevania II: Belmonts' Revenge uses this as the tune in the Inner Quarters of Dracula's Castle, before you enter Soleiyu's Rooms.
This doesn't count as a remix...
In the spirit of the recent Belmont's Revenge show of appreciation, I offer up some pure metal awesomeness.
Castlevania 2011 metal guitar (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XkW512TRAeQ#ws)
Excuse me sir, but where did you got that name? AISTODIAOLO
Are you by any chance from greece?
um...uzo...abour ur team's castlevania game...how are the things?
everything ok? anything new? like programming or anything?
Yeah...I am from Greece...
We've been in a sort of slump for a while, but things are picking back up.
Some of the main problems were me going back to redo things that were already done, be it for speed improvement or because the current version couldn't support what we planned. But things are picking up more and more now. Another reason for lack of updates is working on stuff we can't release yet. Things like the main character sprites, new enemies, musical score etc.
Though this isn't really the thread for this discussion, lol. I appreciate the interest though.
So do i!!! After so many years i'm no longer the only one from Greece!!! :)
I'm more than 4 years, but something happen to the old server, so the forum started from scratch. Your name is all the money... :P
In the spirit of the recent Belmont's Revenge show of appreciation, I offer up some pure metal awesomeness.Reminds me of my OST for my game! lol Also, the guy that did CV Deforestation from CV4 should do more CV4 music! Very awesome!

Deforestation - Super Castlevania IV 'Forest of Monsters' cover by Thunder Thouin
Dude, seriously, one page back already posted.
The other one is cool though.
In the spirit of the recent Belmont's Revenge show of appreciation, I offer up some pure metal awesomeness.Uzo, is that you in the vid dude? Great work man! Belmonts revenge is one of my favorites and has IMO one of the BEST Castlevania soundtracks to date!!
Castlevania 2011 metal guitar (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XkW512TRAeQ#ws)
Those arent bad dude! stop downing yourself man, if you do that you could never hope to improve in any way. Look at it like this, take your songs, and think of your musical inspirations. That's what i do man, my biggest influences are Zakk Wylde, Dimebag Darrell, Dave Mustaine and Eddie Van Halen. When i do something, i step back and say "would the guys (being my influences) like this? could they do it better?" and i go from there. Keep it up man, and throw some more vids on here!!!! i really dug the medly! ;D
Well, the biggest reason I say they're bad is cuz I have improved. ^.^ I'm holding out on hard-rock/metal songs at the moment until I get proper equipment, though (all I have is synth). Then I'm gonna redo these tracks with some blarin' guitar! lmlI feel ya on the sound and equipment dude. I mainly am remastering all the tracks because i got some new speakers, new pickups and DRASTICALLY changed my amp's EQ giving my guitars a complete 180 in the sound it gave. I also started running my bass through a preamp directly into my computer since i dont have a bass rig and it sounds great!!!! speaking of which, if you are really interested in doing computer recordings you may wanna look into getting a guitar preamp. If i didnt have my peavey i would be using my guitar preamp for everything! I just cant get away from my tube amps dude! i love em! lol
Guitar preamp? Hmm... Sounds interesting. I'll check it out. ^.^WHAT??? burnt out??? Lmao! If you think about looking into a preamp, check eBay for w rocktron chameleon 2000. I have one and they are GREAT! and you could probably snag one under a hundred bucks. What's cool about it is that it has 4 separate amp modes and you can simulate speaker cabs too, plus it's got TONS of effects. If u would like I could make an example mp3 tomorrow to let you hear how it sounds...
And I'm currently burnt out on Castlevania remixes. I'll come back shortly with more.
Hey guys, sorry its been awhile since my last post, been crazy as all hell out here the past few weeks!!! this is in response to Claim Solais' request of a guitar preamp demo....i NEVER imagined it would turn out so good!!!! i may just end up using this as my setup from now on!!!! ;D anyways, here's the link to my remix of "Dont Wait Until Night" (i LOVE this song man!!!!!) it just repeats for the moment as its just a test but you guys get the idea. im back and will be working on more tunes and focusing on Vamprotector more now that things have calmed down a bit. Enjoy!! 8)

Dracula is usually just shown as wearing fine dress (or burial?) clothes, but I DO think its about time we got a dracula that actually looks battle ready. armor, cape, sword, all that shit.
This is just slightly on the verge of being off topic lol but since it's about the remix I thought it would be cool to share. I just checked the stats of my soundclick page and as of right now, Don't Wait Until Night is ranked #213 out of 99,472 metal songs and #63 out of 40,163 songs in heavy metal....that's since I posted it last night!!!! Apparently there are quite a few cv fans on there to be ranked so high so quick! Lol

For all Castlevania's fan! Castlevania special medley 悪魔城ドラキュラ (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k2lKRktcD00#)
Goddamn EPIC medley <3
50 minutes in so far. Wow. Just wow. This is BEYOND amazing!
This MURDERS Konami's shitty 25th arrange album! They're not even in the same league; Not in the same galaxy! Completely wiped it off the map.
It seems only the fans know how to do Castlevania justice and care to celebrate the 25th anniversary properly.
lol maybe one day i will be smart enough to figure out why my player wouldnt embed to the messege....any ideas Jorge?

The stuff you pasted

Good Lord, that's amazing! You did an astounding job!
Could you possibly release an MP3 version of this? I would love to add this to my remix collection.
There aren't any rules about posting links to music, if that's what you mean.
And already ahead of you on the sending to friends thing ;)
I'm not some amateur who just takes things without asking, so rest assured there.
Hey Guys! Those songs are really good! Castlevania series have pretty nice songs!

Castlevania Order of Ecclesia - Wandering the Crystal Blue (Piano Arrangement) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VTWYPun5QE4#)
As far as Castlevania mixers go, I'd say he's second only to Jorge.
A joke? I barely found them listenable.
Call me lazy for not wanting to thumb through the archives and the fan section but can anyone tell me where I can find some Geoffry Gunn tunes? I know about his CV tribute album but I was looking for some other tracks he made in the past. I remember he made an amazing remix of "Successor of Fate". I'm kind of looking for that one in particular.
Did you try running a search for his name? We all call his by his name even though that's not his handle here. I ran a search and some stuff showed up:I'll have a look at his facebook thanks. I think Mr. P's site might have some tracks from him as well.

This guy does pretty great renditions of classic songs in Dracula X and IV's soundfont.
I noticed whats his name, the french guy, his remix project was almost completely ignored. I don't recall if it was OCR related or not, but that might explain it. Honestly there were only a few good tracks on it anyway. Those "give each track to a different guy" albums rarely ever come out good.It was not OCR-related.
Very nice remixes over there !
I hav' done this last week end
After Confession (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LqkU-wcriJU#ws)
LOL you mean Vampire Killer. :P
Also, I believe you missed a part.
Too many to comment on individually. Good stuff alla round. Thanks :P
Love that Forest of Monsters especially.
Castlevania: Lords of Shadow - Super Castlevania IV Soundset (SNESology) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gwtb_Qz5D78#)Maybe once the PC version comes out, it can be modded to stop Battle music from interrupting the atmosphere. Im pretty interested in that actually. Im betting it wouldnt hurt at all.
i think that the music as a general in MOF improved from LOS since i remember various times actually enjoying the music (like in the library) until a stupid hunchback appeared and changed the tune into battle even if he was dead even before the tune started...
but LOS did have some pieces that I genuinely like, and with that downgrade, the two biggest things that fail in both LOS and MOF music IMO is more regarding design that composition, not being able to let any tune sink through gameplay having thrown a mash up of songs every 5 seconds while you kill enemies, explore and kill more enemies, and the fact that the tunes repeat themselves is what really kill LOS and MOF music.
Since a view weaks, I'm creating Super Castlevania 4 Music withNice, I especially liked New Messiah.
Midis and Super Castlevania Soundfont.
I think these tracks are pretty good, espacially if you have ever wonder how classic Game Boy and NES Castlevania music sound like Super Castlevania :D.

Devil's Revival - Stage 2 - Watery Caverns - Haunted Castle (Arcade) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z2CoVNdIWDk#)
you did this in a single day or you have been working on it? I love it.
Yeah, I know I shared it on the Dungeon Facebook page, but I'm not sure I shared it on the board.
Not everyone here is part of the Facebook page.
"This guy" is our very same PHBelmont :P
This Sons of Satan remix was made by Dracula9.
Damn so I reposted stuff people made and already posted. I tried to be pretty careful NOT to do that by looking for obscure CV tracks. Though I guess it was my laziness of not looking through all the posts in this thread. My apologies. Ah well ok./url]
Sons of Satan (http://www.mediafire.com/?j2be5cfsk7pvlis)(a newer version, and I much prefer this one to the old)
HELL. YES.
WHY NO MP3. NEED MP3.
Sadly, that'd only net you CBR 128 quality at most.

Wandering Ghosts, Famitrackered.there aren't nearly enough chiptuned SotN tracks.
8-bit Castlevania SotN - Wandering Ghosts (VRC6) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bIFMvhv_-Og#)
there aren't nearly enough chiptuned SotN tracks.
Which is very surprising
Well, Mother Earth (I think I'm thinking of the right game. Earthbound 3, Mother, right?) was SNES, right?
Well, Mother Earth (I think I'm thinking of the right game. Earthbound 3, Mother, right?) was SNES, right? You could always pull MIDI data from the SPC files. I know you're more partial to composing them yourself, but at the very least you'd have reference for the pitch bends.
You could always try to do the arranged version of Vampire Killer from Chronicles. Or Thrashard in the Cave (original), I don't think you've had a crack at that. Break out those electric guitar synths!

Anyway, Reincarnated Soul was plenty rockin', me gusta. Also dig that slightly LoI-esque Prayer of a Tragic Queen. I think the arranger went a bit overboard with the techno on Calling From Heaven though, and sadly The Vampire's Stomach felt a bit too weak IMO.

PARDON YOU, SIR, I DID DESTINY'S STAGE, CANTUS MOTETTEN, AND CHAMBER OF RUIN. YOU HANG OUT ON CVBLA, YOU SHOULD AT LEAST KNOW ABOUT CHAMBER OF RUIN. CHECK MR. P'S CASTLEVANIA REALM SOMETIME WHYDONCHA.
@theplottwist: You didn't listen to Vampire Variations - Volume II, did you? "The Six Servants of the Devil" and "The Vampire's Stomach" are both remixed on this album.
So I downloaded the album. Vampire's Stomach sounds gorjeous. It somehow doesn't sound like a boss theme... I don't know why since I'm not a musician, but I risk saying it's the drums. Six Servants of Evil, though... I could barely recognize the song. It's a good song, but sounds so little like the original one I cannot equate them to compare.Glad you enjoyed the album(s). I hope you also DL'd the first volume.
The whole album sounds incredible. Thank you for letting me know it exists.
I really like seeing the PS2 entries getting retro remixes. They're rare. You rang? (http://www.mediafire.com/listen/p47jgchwujpdo8u/Anti-MSX_Cartridge_Lab.mp3)
And Chernabogue, that's a bit unfair to that community. There's a certain degree of respect in doing MIDI-rip-based songs due to the accuracy that can present, but it's a kick in the balls to declare that entire group of people guilty of being faux musicians. Believe me, I'm capable of arranging songs myself, but using MIDIs is just easier and saves me a lot of time I don't have.I am referring to that kind of people, who are downloading a MIDI file, adding a few MIDI instruments, and call it the best remix ever. I totally respect people who create a MIDI file from nothing because it indeed requires a lot of work, but MIDI rips in general are bad IMO (mostly since people don't use good samples). I am sorry if I offended you.
Now the fuckers who obviously rip a MIDI and say they wrote it themselves, or the ones who do almost nothing with it and try and pass it off as OC...that I can understand.
One down, Plot.

No idea why it isn't embedding.
This is exactly why I regret having to miss MagFest this year. It was on during the final weeks just before release for the game, so there wasn't any chance I'd get to go. Extra sad, since we got an invitation from them to go too.
Seriously, just kicking off the CV segment with my FAVORITE from SCVIV. I would have loved to have been there.

(ignore the fact that I cheated and added an extra channel the GameBoy doesn't have, it's all in your head)
It really shows unfortunately. It sounds very noticeably unauthentic. Most of the charm of 'downmixes' is seeing how the artist copes with the limitations. You need to examine what the most prominent aspects of the song are, and make sure they get the priority, while creatively covering the loss of detail from the remainder.
For all Belmont Family!! Castlevania Special Medley The Second (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XZm5oF-N9fY#ws)Goddammit, you ninja'd me. :V

Where do you guys find these remixes? You only search "Castlevania Remix" daily on youtube or what?
Why they re-released it? They improved it or the old one was deleted because of something? This really shows how LoS soundtrack could be better than it is if they wanted.RoeTaKa released it on his personal SoundCloud before, but he also sub'd the track to the OCR evaluation panel. And now the OCR website releases it as an official OCR mix. Gets you way more coverage! ;)

Bonus Track. This would fit right in a waterfall stage. Like in Rondo.

Really nice guitar cover of Simon's theme with a wacky vampire dude
I covered almost all of the CV1 soundtrack IN ONE MINUTE:
Four years ago, I made an arrangement of OoE's "Sorrow's Distortion" on the style of SotN's "Dracula's Castle". At the time, I was also playing with the idea of rearranging Simon's Quests's town theme, "Silence of Daylight" in the style of "Woodcarving Partitia". Life happened, however, and it didn't.
...until today. I FINALLY decided I had to do it. :)

p.s. Why no more streaming, MedaFire?!? :S
I remember you, in fact I was listening to your remix again yesterday: https://youtu.be/ow-lSMO1-oI (https://youtu.be/ow-lSMO1-oI)
I think you will not remember me but I really appreciate your talent. Its nice to meet you again, you plan to upload it to your youtube channel too?
edit: heard your new remix, you didn't lost your touch, bending the music to your will like before xD
Good to hear from you Lelygax! Just responded to your PM. :)
About making a YT video with my music...well, what do you folks here at CVD think? Admittedly, it wouldn't be much but a still image most likely, um, "borrowed" from this very site over the music. <:)
It would be good, more people would be able to find it.
It's pretty interesting.
As far as video tips: Start the music right away, even during your explanation segment. Avoid the viewer having feelings of "GET ON WITH IT! I JUST WANT TO HEAR THE MUSIC ALREADY!"
JazzyVania, a bunch of Castlevania songs in Jazz form. Super comfy.
Damn! Out of nowhere! #GaMetalQuality

Hey, guys, I have a question and I'm betting someone here knows the answer, so...
There are multiple arrangements for Bloody Tears, as I think we're all aware. Years back, I downloaded a cover of Bloody Tears made by a guy called Schwanerd on Youtube. This here is a tweaked version of that same song:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vCX7oDheTmo (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vCX7oDheTmo)
And I was curious. This particular arrangement, which I've seen quite a few times performed mostly on piano floating around online... does anyone know its specific origin? Is it from a game (I admit I'm not as familiar with all the OSTs as I should be), or did someone do a sheet music arrangement?
From my knowledge, this arrangement is a fan creation. It started here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_MM_Q0nfaG0 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_MM_Q0nfaG0)Thank you. I'll tell my sister, too; she was the one who brought it up while going through some of our music.
Just released my newest Castlevania arrangement album:
