Seriously though, the leather whip animation is pretty cool. It could come in handy.

Speaking of Simon's Quest, I did this and HKJGGJFF I'm so proud of it.
I edited the CV2 Simon Sprite and made it look like Jorge's Simon. It's for my CV2 hack :D
Thanks for the amazing Simon sprites, Jorge!

I think I might use it for one of my NES-style projects once I make a sprite sheet.

It is really a good idea, if possible you could mix this with this another hack that adds a map and have a fixed translation for tests.

I'm thinking it should be an alternate sequel to Simon's Quest, set after the best ending of the game, since you see Dracula rise once again in that ending. The game will have 8-bit graphics (duh) with smooth animation, and improved control, similar to the likes of Richter in SotN or PoR. Most bosses from the NES trilogy will return, in a more powerful form.
Sadly, like all my other projects, I don't think I'll have the time and patience to complete it.

Subweapon/Whip animation for Simon! It's a bit shaky, but all around I think it turned out pretty damn good.

Alright, I made a leather whip animation! It's based on Richter's PSX whip. (one of my fave whip animations, next to Adventure Rebirth's whip)

That last frame where the tip snaps back up makes it look like wobbly plastic rod. That's why I've never liked that particular whip animation. The rest of t looks great though.

Its better, but this "air effect" is wrong, even in the official games I think. If it really had this much strength in this direction it would hit the floor or Simon foot. This air effect should be used in the part of animation when the whip is behind Simon in my opinion.

I see what you mean now. I did think it looked a bit weird at first..
I'll change it now. Thanks for the advice :)
