Fan Stuff / Re: CASTLEVANIA THE LECARDE CHRONICLES II April 2017

I know it's a relatively long time since the little obscure fan game's reveal, but here we might need this forum's help again.

The thing is, Katriel opened a Lecarde Chronicles 2 refine project ( https://github.com/katriellucas/lecarde-2 ) but unfortunately the recovery process ended up corrupting all non-English characters in the game's plain-text. The thing would be easier if there's copies of translated plain-text dialogue script from that time. If there're anyone who still obtain the translated plain-text dialogue script, we welcomed you and please contact us in any form.

My thoughts so far :

Great game! I hadn’t played Dead Cells so far but I love it’s breaking-wall humor, referencing and mocking other metroidvanias , even when outside of the castlevania DLC.

As for the castlevania stuff :

It is funny, and a breath of fresh air. I like it better than Bloodstained RoTN already, the Dead Cell system is the perfect implementing of Rogue Like in a 2D, it is a pity they couldn’t do this with Bloodstained like they original promised in the KS. With that being said, the controls of Dead Cells are much better

The music : I was very happy to hear some songs that haven’t had new arrangements in over 2 decades. I am thinking the Dracula resurrection song / last boss music from Castlevania IV for example. This is great! But many mixes are feeling rushed, and I felt the same way about many (non castlevania) tunes on Super Smash ultimate , it was largely quantity over quality. But I can’t fully judge yet, I’ve only heard about 6 tunes of the 60 available. But yeah, as noted earlier, the sound mixing feels a bit off, its like either the bottom end is muddying things or the high end/midrange frequencies are dampened…

I made it to Clock Tower today, and almost made it to drac for the first time I think, but I did something stupid…and this game really punishes your for doing stupid things. But I love this aspect, it really forces you to think before you press a button (or don’t…) too slow by a second and it’s instant death and back to square one…

But the run to the Clock Tower had some really funny moments only a true CV diehard would get…

A refresher course couldn't hurt.

No need, you can tangle things in any order you want, the learning curve will be the same same no matter where you go

I was concerned that it might take a while to level up to the point I could even reach the Castlevania stages, so I played the game a while before the expansion was released.  Turns out, I didn't really need to do that, since the exit to the first Castlevania stage can be found in the first stage.  All you need is a few runs before the content is available.  It would be quite possible to just jump into the game.  Up to you how comfortable you want to be with the mechanics before tackling the Castlevania stages or how leveled up you'd like to be.  You could learn them in the Castlevania stages or other stages.

lol, practitioners of the craft don't actually do that. That's just church/Roman propaganda. So it's understandable why she'd hate the bible considering the group that put it together: Emperor Constantine and his inner circle.

The voice simulations sound pretty close though it's not perfect. However the effort is still a good one so I have to applaud your efforts  :)

Hey guys, I played Dead Cells once when it was fairly new because it was already being compared to Castlevania, and my impression was "this is neat, I should come back to it soon!" but for some reason I didn't. :(

My question is, should I take some time to familiarize myself with the base game before diving into this DLC?

yeah I understand, but wanted to do the shortest Gospel. but Mark also has that verse as well :P
they charge by the charter. and they are ways to do for free but didn't want to transcrib the whole SOTN script. lol
anyway glad you enjoyed it. had one person just act insane over it, but she was a self confessing witch that hates the bible. it's my free will to do what I enjoy, just like it's her's to kill chickens and drink their blood ;D

So far…great game, content, control and humor…

But so far am not liking the mixing job in the CV tunes…vampire killer seems they added way too much boost at 250-400 hz, sounds way too muddy down there.

Almost as good as Wii U controls, but the graphics update blows all previous versions out of the water. Going thru a second time on hard mode now, very good unlockable gallery too when complete
