Are the bright flashes (such as when grabbing the Rosary, letting off an M-80,000 bomb, or hitting a Hard Corps boss weak point) console-accurate as opposed to the Switch versions which lower the frame rate or brightness (to reduce epileptic risks)?
So excited to be finally playing this. Great work.
Edit: I just can't seem to be able to follow the guide with all the endless copy-pasting on a small laptop, I'm gonna have to wait for someone to pack it ready to go apparently ç_ç
sorry but if you follow the video that sets it up. it will work. I got it working it's ok, the mouse is a little wonky but it works to hit the enemy's. only thing that sucks is there isn't no sound effects. kinda sucks without that, but the soundtrack is good. and I know it's a pain but it's not too hard to setup just follow the video closely and you will be playing the game in no time. I'll be honest it's not the greatest thing but it is cool. kind of like house of the dead if you ask me.
i've never understood how people can say super metroid and sotn are in the same genre of game. Super metroid is a sidescrolling action adventure. SotN is a sidescrolling action rpg. everything about the way these games are structured supports this.
the biggest similarities are 1.) the map kinda looks alike (they use blue squares with white outlines) 2.) it is an open map with locks and keys you have to get through exploration, often as abilities instead of true keys 3.) it scroll sideways and look pretty
is number two and three it? is that all a game needs to be a metroidvania? i guess megaman 1 is technically a metroidvania.
but it's all pedantics. language is not an exact science and is dependent on context and popular usage. argument of wrong and right becomes irrelevant when nearly everyone uses a word a certain way. sorry if your open map sidescrolling game takes all its influence from chrono trigger. it's a metroidvania
By your train of thought, I guess it depends on how much you differentiate between adventure and RPG. And I could see how some people would find both to be similar since games blend genres together constantly. The biggest differences between the two seem to be weapons, setting, and presence (or absence) of a loot system . But I dunno, I guess I'm happy that fans have attached CV to the (somewhat) mainstream gaming lexicon. Well, not classic CV. Dammit
#PachinKonami is a shadow (organisation) of its former self, currently funded by the Yakuza and run by the ‘Pachinko Elite’.
Man, I wish they would get their asses burned in the pachinko market like SNK, but I think they have more savvy than that since they've been there longer. It would be nice to see them supporting their IPs in video game format again.
Speaking of Moterhead, I found this song. Apparently it's the 30th anniversary animated tribute. Both Ozzy and Moterhead do this tune.
"I keep sayin' that's it's getting too much, but I know that I'm a liar"
Hahaha, would've expected nothing less from Lemmy.
I've been digging Beast in Black lately. Some of their songs have been infectiously catchy, like Cry out for a Hero:
"With seven scars and fists of fury"
It's always nice when you hear a power metal song about Fist of the North Star, lol. Apparently these guys make a lot of songs about Berserk, too. Sign me up. I like the retro vibe on a lot of their synth work. This and Die by the Blade have been on repeat in my head lately.
