Castlevania NES Sound Effects

Well, I searched for six months to find these, and I know other people do as well. After futilely searching, I was taught how to rip them from an NSF file. So, for the sake of convenience, here are the sound effects to the NES Castlevania titles!

Castlevania sound effects - 35 sound effects - 3MB
http://www.mediafire.com/?uehpmo9kxzpka5s

Castlevania II Simon's Quest sound effects - 42 sound effects - 3MB
http://www.mediafire.com/?mv4s2eu2s3bgkf4

I don't yet have Castlevania III's sounds, as they are not included in the NSF file. I will be hunting down other NSF files in order to get the sound effects.

Special thanks to Jorge for showing me how to do this. (:

Enjoy.

It'll probably be up tomorrow. I can't be on much today but I found a few different NSF files of CV3. I'll do my best to get it up! :)

Iv'e had these fro a long time now but they came in an audio pack with a lot of music and sfx from various castlevania games. If you had said something I could have posted them for you instead and saved you the time lol. I don't know which copy is better though yours may be better than what I had for all I know.

Did you know you can play an nsf through a set of filters that allow you to change the way they sound? You can make them play faster/slower change the pitch etc which is nice if you want some variations on the originals. I could see if I still have the plugins for that if you ever need it.

Yeah I will have to dig out my plugins and run some packs off once I get time here. I used to do a lot with rom sounds years ago. I had a plugin that let you make your own music and effects using the emulator which made making 8 bit tunes super easy. I used to run some of my favorite music from nes games through the filters just to change it up a bit.

That's too bad because I need the CV3 sounds like yesterday...lol If you come across them again and hit me up that would be greatly appreciated! As for the filters, I am aware of that, but I usually just use a premiere or even camtasia studio when it comes to the audio stuff...

Ever try soundbooth? It's pretty powerful in comparison to premiere since premiere and camtasia are both for video. Soundbooth lets you do almost anything with audio since it has a way to view audio as a spectrum and isolate individual sounds within a track.

But yeah if I can find all my plugins and stuff I could probably grab the cv3 sounds while I am at it.
