I saw this video on YouTube made by Yum Yumz a while back.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=swg-DfAQeCU

This looks accurate to NES game physics. I am looking forward to playing it. It may provide some inspiration for my project.

Stop me if you've heard this one.
A Belmont falls through a trap door into a square prison with no exits. After hitting three sides he smashes through the last one. Relieved and low on health he looks at the camera, smiles and says......"Pork chop?"
ULTIMATE FOURTH WALL BREAK!!! That just happened!!!

That's an impressive engine! Although having the spikes in there wasn't necessary since Simon didn't die from them. But that was just a beta test room after all. It looks good nonetheless  :D

Thanks for sharing this!

Shouldn't this be in the fan section though?

That Clock Tower vertical section could get annoying.
If you're making this engine, it's great!  The small floating moving platforms need some deceleration.

I wish it was mine. My progress is not nearly as complete or smooth as this. Still in the beginning stages, and stuck on them for that matter. I intend on doing something that has not been done but yet also has. Yum Yumz said she wants to go Metroid style but stay true and pay homage to classic Platfovania.

By the way. The gif with the cat and the tutu. Can I assume that it's from AFHV? That has got to be the most compelling evidence for the complete mind fuckery that nature, the universe, life can play on us upright walking types.
