Super Mario World is on the SNES unless you meant something else?

It was pretty cool, though kinda underwhelming.

And why use SMW's sound samples rather than SCV4 or DXX?

I dont know why the author used super mario world's soundfront, but im sure Jorge with his magic hands could change it, ;p

Never said it was bad. I kinda like the way it sounds. Reminds me of the homebrew I was planning on making a while back, but didn't due to lack of coding experience. "Super Belmont Bros." Haha. ^^

Man, Nightmare sounds terrible with this soundfont.

Where'd you find this?

It's possible the author actually used the SMW sound engine to make these as it is very well documented and plenty of tools exist to make music for SMW. Converting from .spc format to mp3 is simple too.

Also, I know of at least one SMW hack in progress that gives Mario Richter's whip and sub weapons. This *could* be related to that hack... maybe...

actually this is from super mario central, there have quite a bit of castlevania music some uses different sound samples, and requires a sound patch for your altered game...

I figured it was probably from there. I think it would be worth the effort to rerecord them with CV4 samples. Right now they're ok, but the feel really dated.

Huh. Well, that's certainly something you don't see hear every day. Now I want to go do this. But with SNES instruments that actually will do the songs well. Yoshi noise ftw.

I'm still working on my CV4/DXX Synth.  ;)

Which I shall schteel the instant you finish them. From the neon pink metal safe decorated with My Little Pony stickers you keep underneath your bed. Where you keep all your soundfonts. And Thai hookers. Oh yes, Jorge. I know where you keep all your little secrets. Especially PROJECT X1009573Q!!!

Not sure if that's spam or not.

since the music came with originally as SPC, and has the notepad of the songs, if they were per say injected into dracula x and SCV4 replacing songs, then re-exported, you should have your instant castlevania soundfont conversion, I dont know if that'll work, just a theory

It won't. Both the SNES CV games use a very different sound engine from SMW.
There is, however, a utility one could use to extract the samples from SCV4 or CVDX. One could then insert those sample into SMW and then you would have them sound more *correct* as it were.

Considering the 'dated' feel of these tracks I found myself liking two out all of them. But to have all the cv3 tracks done in SCV4 or DXX stylization would be real ear candy.

What's the name of the utility?  I'm curious to know whether I have it already or not.
