I want to post a mod that I made for the original Castlevania, but it's made from a ROM and requires an Emulator to play, and I'm just wondering if you guys have some rule about distributing that kind of stuff here.

You'll have to make a patch of it, can't post the ROM. You can probably use lunarIPS cause most people distribute hacks of old games with IPS patches.

Emulators and IPS files aren't illegal so you can post them here, now about the ROM, I think that a moderator will need to answer that.

Ok, so I patched the game, but what all do I need to include in the .zip file now? I've got the patched ROM, the original Castlevania ROM, the IPS file, and the emulator with all of it's stuff in there.

IPS, we can find easily a (U) rom and a emulator. You can share some screenshots and say what this mod does? :)

Hi! Admin here, and welcome.
You may post IPS files, screenshots of the mod, and talk about it.
No ROM download links (most can find the ROM on their own anyway, we're savvy like that).
If you already have a patched ROM, that might be a problem.

Alrighty, I'll post the ips and some screenshots and stuff later. This is the first mod I've done and I'm also a new member on here, so if I seem like a noob it's because I am, lol, but I just wanted to make sure I was following rules and stuff. Thanks for the help guys.
