Go! I'm all ears.  :) I skipped 2020 here.

Not much regrettably. Even before COVID was happening things here were still minimal.

Castlevania season 3 came out, discussions were had whether it sucks or not and why, and after those died out so did the overall activity on forums, sadly. That's all I really remember, honestly.

A bit of discussion of Curse of the Moon 2. Some acknowledgement of Wallachia and Carpathian Night. A few nods towards some fan games. Not much else. What we need is a new game in the main series or Bloodstained to really get the place going, and the Curse of the Moon games don't seem to be enough. It would be better if we had multiple games to discuss but...

Well, maybe forums just aren't as popular as they used to be.

Well, from what I've seen forums are mostly abandoned in favour of reddit and similiar comunities. And after all they thrive on passion of fandoms, and we here are fans of a seemingly dead franchise and we just keep getting blueballed by Kuntnami.

I still think forums are the perfect form of communication. Reddit and especially social media are sloppy and keen on throwing information at you that you never wanted put in your head.

It's just a shame nobody else feels that way, lol. It's a dinosaur, but not all things outdated are necessarily obsolete.

And yeah, it doesn't help that this particular board deals with a franchise whose owner sees fit to do nothing about. Yay.

Social media is always changing. Things such reddit and the like might be around for some time but won't last too long. I think in that regard chat forums have a longer lifespan. But it all depends on the people when you really get down to it.

I'll be with message-board forums 'til the end, but... I don't often find reasons to post.

Find reasons. Always post. Even if it's to say your crotch needs to be aired out. I do!

Nada, I just collected games, and in 2021 still do. 2020 was mostly a peaceful year at yon forum, hopefully 2021 is just as dull and boring when it comes to that here. Even some retrogame forums have quieted down, while some, like Atari Age, keep marching on, busy as a bee (since retro games are still hot, driving prices up on those old games, *grumble grumble*).

So not a lot was going on. Has social media drained the traffic in general? I escaped back to BBS from social media.  :-[

Sadly, not much to add to what people said before. There was not much of anything, chiefly because Konami keeps cock-blocking us effectively since 2009. We're all just nostalgic people trying to keep a dead franchise alive in our own way.

We're old, we reminisce about the past.  ;D

CVDungeon 2021 revival WYA?

In all seriousness I think some kind of event or change should happen this year... SOMEThing big should happen. I don't think our potential to be an active forum is gone just yet.

So long as we keep showing up, it'll be around. Forums are dependent on the people that frequent them after all.

Indeed, I feel like a LOT of attention currency's been directed at FaceCrap and awesome-in-its-own-way Reddit for ages.  For my part, as I moved through the 2010 decade, my time, attention, and energy went beyond forums, which I had A BALL with during those long-cold heydays.

Some years back (when I was converting my Flash to streaming video) I had a sweet stretch of free time and energy I made the best of, but as Life moved on, compounded, complicated, and bla-bla-bla, wah-wah-wah...that was that.  The CVDF for me has always been more of a place to enjoy CV and less a place to be vulnerable about goings-on on my end, so unless I was aware of some CV News I wouldn't be seen for a while.

& since AIM got pwnd by Face's Messenger & I've got my own bones to pick on that platform, I'm not often in touch with fellow CV Heads, lest I've got their numbers.  (On that note: to the 2000-decade RSU|ICVD gang, it'd be fun to shoot the shit about CV or Life in general.  Hit me with your digits in a PM!)

I do drop in for the 7|15 shoutout when I remember.  19 years out we probably have a couple 16-year-olds wondering what all that annual fuss is about--at this point it's merely a reminder of funner, simpler days (in hindsight, of course; it was a pain in the ass for those in situ).  So yeah, that happened in 2020. :p

Shoutout to Sindra for keeping our love for CV alive on the 'Tube (https://www.youtube.com/c/SindraVaniaProjects/featured) and 'Camp (https://sindravaniaprojects.bandcamp.com/).

& that's my madd ramblings for now.  8) 8) 8)

I posted some fanfics.

People hated me.

Everyone whined about some mobile games I guess.

That new Getsu Fuuma was announced and Konami is confirmed for this year's E3. Maybe we'll finally get something that isn't a mobile game.

Nah, we like you. It's more of an affectionate "Pls delete this♡"
Can't guarantee for people outside of dungeon tho.
You're alright.

Aside from being promoted to a senior sandwich artist at Subway, you haven’t really made much headway in writing compelling stories set in the CV universe of Wallachia lately

Furthermore, I don’t believe you love waffles as much as your username suggests. Can you prove me wrong?

2020 was awful, but this forum definitely helped make it more bearable. Keeping my mind busy on my project then having a place to post about it here definitely helped fight off the cabin fever. While everything else around me was changing (for the worse), this place seemed to be one of the only things that had a sense of normalcy.
