p.s.: I'm watching clips of this on YouTube and why the fuck is the Japanese version EASIER than the US version?  Gee, thanks, Konami.  Having the twin mummy dudes throw their bandages in horizontal lines (instead of wishy washy medusa patterns) and those two ledges that are inaccessible to the bosses really could have helped me in Level 7.

Because lolrentals (i.e. they don't want it to be too easy that kids can just rent it for a couple days or so to beat it). :V
It is precisely because it never cared, that people do care.  It's something which it's lacking, because that which it has, it has lackluster of.
^^
You are now reading this in Robert Belgrade's voice.

Then Lords of Shadow 2 just takes a big, semi-solid, smelly, pea-green dump all over everything.

Yeah this was pretty standard practice through the 1990s. It's why the original US release of Resident Evil 1 didn't have auto targeting when the Japanese did. Even though you literally can't see what you're shooting at half the time with the camera angles in that game.

In the case of Castlevania 3 all enemies do more damage the farther you go in the US release, and when you get a game over against Dracula you're sent back to the beginning of the stage rather than started at the bottom of the stairs to his keep.

PS- In Japan video game rentals are illegal. Thus it was never a concern there.

Doppelgangrape.

Dracula boners.

Is the rental thing really why they made the game intentionally harder, or is that just one of those weird video game conspiracy theories?

Eh, to be honest I don't really know but it seems logically sound at least.

It is Sypha when she wore more clothes than in Pachislot. Also Waffle, try beating it sometime in the future without save states, or you will start thinking that all old games were like Prince of Persia: Sands of Time LOL

Wait, you can download this for the 2DS?    How the heck did I miss this? ¬_¬  Before people laugh, it was given to me as a present, together with PoR and DoS.  They're the only things I've played on it, aside for OoE.  This is how litle I bother with it.

Oh.  I just watched the little opening scroll for the first time and I saw this:
Quote
During 15th Century Europe, there lived a person named Dracula.  He practiced sorcery in order to create a bad world filled with evil.

Man, that Dracula is one bad dude.  He's so... bad and evil.

You mean they weren't?

It seems that I was come too late...

Wait, you can download this for the 2DS?

A 2DS can do anything that a 3DS can, less the "Oh! Its 3D" part.

Ahahaha! I could still remember the voiceover when you die.

The only gameover voiceover that I remember is that one, but in japanese (for some reason I couldnt find a video in japanese)

It is Sypha when she wore more clothes than in Pachislot.

That sounds horrible.  Pachislot Sypha is the best Sypha.
