Dunno, Curse of Darkness seemed too spooky for me.
Realistically, Hector should've became the incarnation/vessel for Dracula. The guy's rather hot-headed and extremely hell-bent on revenge (for good reason), and everyone, except for a riddle-speaking posh bastard and a witch who looks like his recently killed wife, telling him to kill Isaac. Which is rather justified. The dude killed his wife and then toyed around with him like he was nothing when all Hector wanted was some peace. I would've done him proper
if a cutscene hadn't stopped me. And Hector would have also fallen victim to Dracula's Curse, giving into his selfish rage and realizing at the last second that everyone who he thought had been his ally were all manipulating him into sealing his fate. The feeling of despair when his body is forced to be the one that allowed Dracula to arise and continue the war he so desperately tried to escape from. Knowing that no one is left alive strong enough to take Dracula as he spreads his Darkness over all the earth.
Sounds like a worst case scenario to me, which is more spooky than willingly becoming Dracula or trapped in an eclipse just to find out you can do Dracula stuff.
Speaking of which, I'm assuming everyone on this thread despises Lords of Shadow, for that's the other scary scenario I wouldn't wish to deal with. It's like being forced to play Anakin as he willingly becomes Vader and enjoys it, just to regret it and become bitter at the monster he is now and the world which made him that way.
Or I could be roleplaying a little too hard again...
