So, this just became a thing:

I think it’s cool that they include the Alucard Sword and shield ???????? and the ‘data saved’ coffin ⚰️… Not convinced it warrants the price tag for the most expensive version, but still a nice touch.
Also a pity they couldn’t somehow do a Switch version.
Personally, I’m over pre-orders, but I think the items offered here (including the box which uses the Sega Saturn cover art) could look cool in a display cabinet.

Hmm... I think it would be even better if they included the 3D version of Rondo plus the SNES Dracula X. Then I'd consider buying it. The Valis collection however looks to be a good buy although I don't see the fourth entry in there...

Hey X. Yeah I saw Valis as well. Yes it sucks that DXC doesn’t get airplay this time.
Although the only new Metroidvania I’m hyped for atm is Lodoss War/ Deedlit extended title (:P) which I already now have.
I’m also considering getting Bloodrayne Betrayal on Switch, off ebay, purely because I missed out on it at the time.
I reckon if this box edition came with a small scaled 1/10 Alucard statue, even in pvc, it would’ve been worth it.

I'm happy this is getting a physical release. I'm annoyed it's still PS4 only.

I like that Tom duBois' name was a mystery for years and now he's doing new official Castlevania box art. Badass.
As fer the Valis collection, I'm disappointed the blood'n'boobs PC version of Valis II isn't included.

The only reason as to why I think it's PS4 (sony) only has to be involving Sony funding the original DXC release. I don't know if they did or not but Sony must have some kinda stronghold on this specific version. But then again, this version of SotN runs on IoS/Android so, who knows?

Requiem just emulates the PSP versions of Rondo and SOTN, that's the most likely reason why it's PS4-exclusive. Ideally both games would show up on another Castlevania collection, emulating the superior PC Engine and PSX versions.

The PSX SOTN doesn’t have Maria but has the superior (cheesier) VA. While I prefer the Alucard pre-meme SFX(“WUT!!!!!???”) and Dracula’s dialogue in particular, I would still pick the PSP due to playable Maria.
A physical release feels like a waste (as X previously mentioned) because it should include all iterations of SOTN & Rondo. People would pay for that.

Eh the PSP version of SoTN has bad VA, bad Maria and new annoying bugs.

To each their own, but I liked the PSP SotN VA. Like if you choose to kill Richter it actually sounds like he's dying. Only thing I don't like is how Richter says hydro storm.

Jeremy Blaustein doesn't really get the credit he deserves for the original SOTN localization. Granfalloon is a much more interesting name than Legion, for example.
I also still wonder if Beezelbub was some kind of intentional joke rather than a typo, because the gigantic flies almost look and sound like bees. Then again, Beezeboul is a known spelling, so I think it was a case of accidentally combining that with Beelzebub.
