Dracula was not always a monster. He was once a man named Mathias Cronqvist. A flawed, conflicted, genius of a man. How did the educated, aristocratic, crusader who piously served the church become a vampire, and eventually the Dark Lord himself, the opposing force to God? From a very young age terrors and tragedy shaped the man into the king of all evil. This is his story.

The "wiimote" isn't perfect, either..

Has anyone considered that the Wiimote could be used to point at enemies and objects while you would use the A or B button to actually attack, sort of like a third-person shooter?

I don't know why Iga is stuck on the idea that you would have to use the Wiimote as a whip.

If you read the interviews he says that he knows that it doesn't have to be.  But that it would be the only kind of way to use it that would actually be cool, but it would also be to tiring.  This is what I don't like about the Wii.  It just makes developing games harder...  I mean I love Wii sports, Wario Ware, Metroid, and Zelda...  But the only good things on the Wii are 1st party games.  And I've got the feeling that's how it will stay.

Point being... Castlevani is not a thrid person shooter.  It should NEVER play anything like one.  It's an action adventure game, something the Wii mote just doesn't work well for.

I'm worried about Wii.  It seems that Nintendo already has and quickly is drawing out all of it's big guns: Zelda, Metroid, Mario, and Smash.
I mean, unless they make a good Star Fox game for next year (a feat that hasn't happened in years), or if more third party supportors learn how to make Wii games that aren't minigame collections...

I kinda am too. The Wii has THE most potential of this console generation Im just scared its a lil "too" head of its time and no developers will be able to do anything really profound with it outside of Nintendo themselves. And Nintendo has a bad habit of not supporting their systems long into their lifetimes and/or making the same system over and over with small difference.

It's hard to make games for it because Nintendo knew there only hope for competing was a gimmick from way out in left field.  Yes, it is very fun.  But it is in no means way ahead of its time.

How is it not ahead of its time? Its the only motion sensing game controller with full 360 sensitivity (dont EVEN mention sixaxis bullshit) and functions as a normal controller and a pointing input device with its own port for any kind of attachments developers want to make and let their games utilize.

Add all that to the fact that the game industry as a whole hasnt advanced far enough to make really good use of the DS yet and you can see just how much of a stretch itd be for any really good innovative uses of the Wii outside of Nintendo themselves.

Just like how the Virtual Boy was "ahead of its time"? Or maybe even the 64DD?

Yeah, right..

Yeah, right..

Considering neither of those things have anything to do with what he was saying, I'd have to say no.

I was obviously using those as an example..

The comment about the gaming industry not being advanced enough for Nintendo's products is just plain silly.
