I don't like comedy in a gothic video game.

I don't know I don't really mind it much as long as it's done right, the evil dead games really got it the best. Ash is funny as hell and it doesn't hurt the games at all. I would like a castlevania game where the hero is super powerful and is basically an unstoppable killing machine with a fighting engine like GOW but can't take a whole lot of hits, and once you master the fighting mechanics you would hardly ever get hit. I also would love it if there was a descending 360 degree pan around effect in the final battle right at the start, and you get to see close ups of dracs and the hero's faces. I think that would kickass.  :)

Would much rather have a proper 3D one than a console 2D one.

Really.

Like castlevania 64 with high grpahics and usable controls?
If so, I completly agree 8) if not, then I would rather have a proper 2D one.

That would be PERFECT as long as it's more like LoD than the basic 64 one. :P

I like comedy in everything, but for cv games or other gothic moody things, just brief comedic reliefs is enough, anything full blown would just screw it over.

Well, I love comedy, just not in anything gothic. Like certain anime, for example, One Piece wouldn't be the same without that completely random comedy. As for gothic games, idk, comedy is ok, just as long as it isn't fullblown, as Kale said. Brief little "haha's" are fine.
