Actually it looks kinda nice, though it makes his head look like it's leaning a bit to the side.
It is precisely because it never cared, that people do care.  It's something which it's lacking, because that which it has, it has lackluster of.

good eye on the leaning head vlad...i fixed that and made some changes, and decided to make the character clean shaven. i was watchin van helsing on television and was inspired by hugh jackman's hairdoo, i only wish i could sprite a decent hat for him.

EDIT: included a bearded version - pick your preference
