Well her head is already small. It's the hood that's too big.

i like the idea of separate sprites for item use (dagger, holy water, & axe). made it so it's almost like he's reachin in his coat to produce the item used.

Damn. He's turning out pretty nicely. Good idea on the changed throw. 8)

Also, this is Steve. I have no idea what he is or why I made him, but I like him.

Looks like Julius with alternate colors Omen. But I guess that's because that is essentially what it is.

I like the coat, but if I were you I'd try making a new whipping animation. The one that Julius uses is too distinctively his.

omitted some sprites to make it closer to simon whip animation.

yup...

Something about the whipping animation just looks..off to me. Or choppy. I don't know, I really can't put my finger on what's bugging me. It might be that there's no defined whip-blur (like the transparent purple triangle thing on Fake Trevor's whip), or that it doesn't have Julius' usual "pull-back" frames, but I cannot pinpoint specifically what's got me pegged. He himself looks great though.

That's not quite what I was thinking. It does look less like Julius' anim without the missing frames, but I have to agree it looks noticeably choppy. And that last frame where he's leaning forward into the whip strike is what is most Julius-like. I think you should try using a completely different whip animation and edit the sprites to look like your design IMHO.

great critique guys, i see what you mean. i think the whip lends to the "choppiness" of the animation cuz i ripped it from simon without editing. i'm going to work on a brand new whip animation, hope it bodes well.

That's better, I think. Definitely a step in the right direction.

I know what you mean Dracula 9. I've always felt that way about the Julius sprites though.. Something has always just bugged me about him. Same with the John Morris sprites from Portrait though. Just kinda off.
