Konami Collector’s Series: Castlevania & Contra on GOG

GOG is getting a Castlevania/Contra collection.  Pickings are even leaner then the anniversary collections for either franchise, and nothing we haven’t seen in a while, but it’s cheap.  The three NES vanias and two NES contra games.  The collection is from 2002, but I guess it’s on GOG now (whatever that is).

Whatever optimism I had after the release and popularity of the Anniversary Collection is well and truly quashed. But at least the superior edition of Metal Gear Solid 2 is available again, for whatever it's worth.
How not to be a dark lord: the answer to that is a terribly interesting answer that involves an almost Jedi-like adherence to keeping oneself under control and finding ways to be true to yourself in a way that doesn't encourage the worst parts of you to become dangerously exaggerated and instead feeds your better nature. Also, protip: don't fuck with Alchemy or strike up any deals with ancient Japanese Shinigami gods no matter how tempting the deal or how suavely dressed the Shinigami is.

I wish they'd make a Castlevania Anniversary Collection Vol 2. They could put the Dracula X games and some of the GBA games on it. I've been replaying the first anniversary collection and been enjoying it. Yes, I've played those games in the past, but I liked the bonus book and save states haha. I even played easy mode on Japanese CV1 and was having a good time. Anwyho, I wish they'd do more.
