I use the Fire Emblem Serenes Forest forums a lot and under the avatar pic it has an option for favorite Fire Emblem game. We should do this with Castlevania games. Moreover, It might reduce those frowned upon "what are your favorite?" topics.

Added a new version in case you wanna use a game's image instead of text.
However, I couldn't initialize an array to link one item to the other, so I just made two values:
So if you wanna show it as text, you can select a game from "Favorite Game"
If you wanna show it as a picture, you can select a game from "Fave Game".
You can do both but then it's kinda redundant.
When I figure out how to initialize an array, I'll set it up properly I guess. Either that, or just remove one of the two.
There are options for placement:
-Profile (where it is now)
-With Icons (if it were a set of icons I'd put it there but it's one somewhat large image so no)
-Above Signature (which I'm gonna try in a while after I figure out how to put it on the right side of the screen haha).
Do you think it's too much? Let me know. Right now it's tastefully small at 144x80 per game icon.

I think it works greats. I put DXC in text and LoI in the logo form and therefore solving my which one should I put problem. ;)

Yeah, a by-product of my not being able to do a proper drop-down menu is that users have two methods of adding a favorite game. Essentially, they can add two games (one in text and one in terms of graphics).
I'm sure I'll be seeing 'Fave Game' images more often once people catch wind of this. I also put it in the NewsBox. I took the time of creating every little game logo (including games which would raise an eyebrow, such as "Order of Shadows"). I really put effort into this, so I hope everyone enjoys. :)

And hey, it's true that having that option will hopefully quell the need to have "What's your favorite Game" topics.
Too bad there are way too many options for "Best Tune" and "Best Stage". xD

Yeah it's a very well thought out idea, now I can put at least two of my favorites from each style of cv. But cvIII will always be in my favorites slot ;D Just too special even if I dislike it sometimes.

It looked a little blah, so I went and modified the logo (had to shrink the castle).

What would you like me to change the titles to?
Just be aware that it has to make sense and not be offensive.
Right now I have "Likes" for the graphic one, and "Favorite Game" for the text one.
Let me know what you think it should be and I'll change it.
I'm totally guilty of cheating. I will probably always like Super Castlevania IV the best out of all of 'em, but I'm currently enjoying Legacy of Darkness emulated on my PC. :D
Though I might not put "Currently gushing over", something along those lines could be cool.

Hm... if it were my forum, I'd likely make it something along "Relentlessly whipping: [insert game here]", or "Finding all the wallmeat in: [insert game here]" though that's not likely in keeping with this forum's tone.
So I'd suggest something similar, but more fitting to the forum's identity.

Could you add an option to not to show users Likes/Fave game?
It takes longer time for my browser to load a page because of the "Likes" Images.

Unfortunately, no I cannot.
It's probably not impossible, but I cannot implement the PHP for it right now.
You will have to wait until such an option becomes available. Sorry. That's kinda why I went with text at first, but the images are not large in filesize or in actual size.

I kinda find it odd that the graphic, which is the more eye-catching, has now been reserved for a game one simply "likes" or is currently enjoying. :o
Then again, from an aesthetic standpoint, it's more interesting to look at various logos than to see Super Castlevania IV's in every post, so maybe it's cool.
Just a thought... Is the text below (rather, part of) the image necessary? Most here I'm sure know what console a game's on. It gets a little absurd with SOTN since the XBLA and PSN versions are mentioned. Gonna throw in Virtual Console for the other titles? :p I just don't see it as necessary at all, but leave out the download services at least. S'what I'm thinkin'.

It's part of the graphic so it would be a lot of work for me to go back and edit it out of every logo I made (I made all of 'em)..
Plus I disagree and think it's cool. A newcomer (I know it doesn't apply to most of you) might not know "Vampire Killer" even exists, even less that it's for a system called MSX.

I'll pro'ly be lubin' up the ol' N64 stick soon to have a go at Castlevania (followed by LOD) for the hundredth time. Rest assured I'll be giving those some board love when I play 'em.
