I have really fallen in love with the design of the new VK Look Only the body as I do wish the chain would stay out.
So for my Dream look it would be that body but having the chain hanging out, but with that tip as well as it looks like it would not only hook on to things but also hurt like the dickens
What's your Dream Vampire Killer design

Leather whip. No bullshit intrincate-mystical-curious-unique design. Just good ol' leather whip. Maybe even with some weariness marks here and there to signify excessive use.
Something about such a powerful and unique weapon able to banish all evil looking so mundane presses all the right buttons with me. Gives it a sense of humility, despite its unparalleled importance. Think the Holy Grail from Indiana Jones.
Though I'm not opposed to the morning-star variant.

Definitely NOT a leather whip as that won't do s**t against the king of vampires (no offense to the S&M crowd or those who like the leather version ;D). I've always had a soft spot for the Vampirekiller design from Rondo of Blood. It's a full-on chain whip with a morning star tip. Both in art and in game. Not only that but at the bottom of the whip's handle is a protruding spike. Perfect for impaling vampires who're up close and can't be attacked using the standard long range attack.

Pretty much identical to the ideal design of vampire killer in my mind, except the name

I actually found the Combat Cross from LoS very cool.

Yeah I agree, I love the morning star, id love it to start out just a leather whip, but as you go on the whip grows in power, until its an all powerful chain whip. The tip would change a lot until end, the second to last tip would like the iron rose. I would wood be cool is if the whip was a mix of leather and chain.

I really liked the the beam of light whip in Castlevania: legacy of darkness, it just feel like the Vampire Killer is showing it's pure power! Kinda wish this was a reccuring thing honestly.

That reminds me of the highest whip upgrade you can get in Bloodlines. Just a blue streak of holy light that obliterates the undead. Then you lost that once you get hit :/

I feel it should have been a reocuring thing for when the whip goes from leather to a tangible beam of energy it felt like you got the most powerful holy weapon against the army of darkness, the ultimate bane of Dracula!

Perhaps we should turn this question into a contest? Create your take on VK or something?

That's a brilliant idea!

Sure thing, I'm game! But how did you want to go about it? Sprites? Drawings? Decryption? All of the above?

I'm game too and i think drawing the dream vampire killer with a description would do or if you/i want a challenge maybe a sprite art could do too! =)

I'll put up a thread for it to keep from derailing this topic too far. :-)
EDIT: New thread here (http://castlevaniadungeon.net/forums/index.php?topic=8703.new#new)!

I look forward to seeing this as I have no art skills what so ever, but I love seeing great fan art.
