Hi guys!

My first post here.  :)

My name is Abdel, I'm from the 2ndBoss studio, and I'd like to introduce you to our new project under development: Darkest Abyss

The main idea is to follow the C3 and CotM line, we are not running away from the formula to keep the same gameplay feeling.

Some news about subweapons, like carrying two at the same time, being able to choose which one will be used at the moment you want. Among other things...

Here an alpha trailer:

And also the Steam page if you want to add to the wishlist:

I plan to post the progress here and appreciate any feedback. Thanks!

Update: The game is getting a brand new text language variant - Simplified Chinese. Also keyboard framework is being revamped but it's still WIP and there're keyboard-only bugs need to be fixed.

Speaking of Moterhead, I found this song. Apparently it's the 30th anniversary animated tribute. Both Ozzy and Moterhead do this tune.

It's been a while since I listened to Dimmu Borgir, but damn, I'm liking their demo version of Puritania:

Instead of being overproduced gothic black metal whatever (with the vocalist using a megaphone, wtf), this sounds like a war march. Pretty awesome.

I've really been into Hellripper lately, too:

I think it's pretty impressive how it's a one man band, and both the drums and guitar are this fast and tight. Very oldschool Motorhead-esque feeling to most songs, and I love the melodic part (and guitar solos!) in the middle of this one. Can't get enough of this. The only one man bands I can think of off the top of my head are Burzum and Mignight, and while Midnight is enjoyable too, it's nowhere near as tight as this. Just awesome.

About to finish my first playthrough of Sekiro. Man, what an amazing game! I thought the Nioh games had spoiled me rotten on what's possible with Soulslike combat, but Sekiro has not disappointed in that regard. I do wish the NG+ was as robust as Nioh, but I'm having lots of fun with it regardless. Great combat mechanics! I just wished I started this one sooner.

EDIT: Just came back to say how satisfying this game is. There are very few games where I had my lunch eaten by a boss on the first (or first dozen, lol) attempts, only to learn the patterns inside and out to the point where you really "get" the boss patterns, and the game, overall. As long as you dive headfirst into the deflection mechanics, this game will reward you. And this is only on my first playthrough! About to start NG+ as soon as I finish the second boss gauntlet available to me. Just so fun as long as you have the patience. I love games like this where you can feel your skills significantly improve as you adopt the mechanics. And I have yet to really dive into the prosthetics for the most part.

The tracks I've just heard in the about do sound a bit strange to me. Guess this type of music is not to my tastes. The one with the metallic spider album has that videogame instrumentation. I can see it being in a game -minus the vocals.

Not all their stuff is abrasive and chaotically layered, by the way.

But then they also do sound collage freakouts and alien soundscapes, along with really atmospheric film score sounding music.

They've been my favorite band since I was 16 and I can't see that ever changing.

Tri-polar. Couple of decent songs on there, but not anything I'd go out of my way to chase down.

Never heard of it, thought it might be like one of those weird NIN bootlegs. Googled it and came up with Tri-Polar by Sick Puppies. Definitely not Skinny Puppy.

Skinny Puppy's an old daddy goth band from the '80s, currently on their 40th anniversary tour. Influenced a lot of industrial bands, being one of the original electro-industrial bands, but nobody cares unless you're into that shit, lol.

They're pretty cool though. Lots of horror movie samples, cryptic lyrics, humanitarian political stance, anti-vivisection and animal abuse (where the name stems from). Their live shows are very theatrical.

"Human Disease (S.K.U.M.M.)" off their VIVIsectVI album (vivisect 666, get it?) is my favorite song of theirs. Crunchy, mesmerizing; it's a head trip.
