Increased Super Darius score a bit, but still dying at Big Rajarnn boss of Zone D, take too long to beat a boss, a bunch of cubes will overtake you.

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (atari 2600), 12000 pts, The Last Belmont, doesn't loop.

Asteroids (atari 2600), 99999 pts (maxed out score), The Last Belmont.

May not sound like that many points for TCM but it is for that game. Took me 3 years just to break 4000. anyone know if the kids ever stop spawning or do they just keep respawning infinitely?

I've never owned TCM for my old 2600 (which is long gone), so that question is pretty much unanswerable by myself.

As far as I know 2600 games either looped infinitely, or had no endings, so you'd be on a never ending quest.

Soldier Blade (PC-Engine) is amazing fun.  Everybody should play it!

The caravan modes are great.  Here's my scores:

Soldier Blade 5min mode Normal
Ed Oscuro - 1,299,900

Soldier Blade 2min mode Normal
Ed Oscuro - 481,300

Final Soldier and Terra Cresta II also have the same caravan mode, got 500K in that FS and don't remember for TCII.  However, I know how to play Soldier Blade better, and it's also more fun.

Update: Added my current 2 minute score.

Soldier Blade is an amazing game, one of the best ever made in my opinion.  Everybody should play it!

Another day, another version of Gradius 2 to be scored upon.

Gradius 2 (PCE)- 251,300 Stage 1-5 Bloodreign

Has an extra stage exclusive to this port, died at the Moai boss, had no options to help me deal with the little moai.

Is that on Wii VC?

Lol. Basically all the good games I have on VC from the PC Engine are shooters.

- Blazing Lazers
- Gate of Thunder
- Lords of Thunder

It's Gradius 2 fever for me tonight/this morning.

Gradius 2 (SAT) 225,500 stage 1-5 Type 4 Force Field

Got to the Moai stage, their rings were so numerous I was overmatched.

A maxed out score (Asteroids) can't be knocked off, I may add the Texas Chainsaw Massacre score though as it's not a maxed out score.

And to put it technically a maxed out score in the gaming world is called counter stopping, lots of games have this, but it's usually a high high number.

Added my Final Soldier caravan mode scores from Shmups forum:

Final Soldier (TG-16/PC-Engine) 2 minute mode - 699,100 Ed Oscuro
Final Soldier (TG-16/PC-Engine) 5 minute mode - 2,068,000 Ed Oscuro

It might be worthwhile to reorganize the page...maybe by genre?

Edit: Also, there is another board specializing in high scores, check it out! :)
