I just thought that some of you might be interested that a company called BigFinish (under their textbook stuff label) is try to raise funds to make an audio book version of Sheridan Le Fanu's 'Carmilla'

If you are not familiar with the story it is about the world's first female vampire and was originally published in 1872.  They also did a selection of horror stories that can be found here:

http://www.bigfinish.com/textbook-stuff-horror

More on their quest to make Carmilla can be found here:

Just thought that you might be interested.

Sincerely,

David

I've read the Novel Carmilla and it was very interesting. I also noticed how very similar Bram Stoker's Dracula is to Carmilla in terms of plot elements and so-on.

Well I believe that it was released before Bram Stoker's novel.

I do hope that they manage to make an audio book version as their other textbook stuff (at least in the horror section) is outstanding.

They also incorporate both the "Mask" thing, and her courting girl, "Laura".
I read the entire thing on a website. :)

It was. Carmilla: 1872.

Bram Stoker's Dracula: 1897.
