Topic: "The Dragon Returns" - Castlevania Lords of Shadow Sequel (HERE BE SPOILER INFO)

I expect this game to have mutiple locales, just like LoS did. However if the castle is like the artwork, which is similar to the castle in LoS, I'll be disappointed. I loved the SCALE of the castle, but the way it was laid out, with huge sections all connected by those big chains, it just reminded me too much of Drac's castle in the Van Helsing movie. They were way too similar.

I'd love to see MS give us a massive "classic-style" castle...imagine a CV1/CV3/CV4/SotN/Chronicles1 style castle but done on a mega-huge scale like LoS...that would ROCK!

The crest you refer to is the Devil Forgemaster symbol (I have it on my keychain, along with the Combat Cross)



In LoS' epilogue, Gabriel calls himself "The Dragon" in Romanian (although his name is DRACULA, so I dunno why people keep calling him "Dracul," Cox said he's Dracula & only said that because he was speaking a dif language)

so yeah, it's LoS-2, it's just common sense. They've been teasing it for a while dude.


on another note, I wonder if Europe is gonna get a special package like they did with the God Mask? I don't wanna import it again >_<

Here's my prediction:

Mirror of Fate will split Gabriel's good side from his bad, his good living out the rest of his days as a mortal, and starting the Belmont bloodline.
Gabriel's dark side, just like the three original Lords of Shadow, is what we come to see as "Dracula" or "Vlad" or whatever.

Lords of Shadow 2 will take place sometime after Mirror of Fate, and Trevor and Simon will have some info from grandpappy Gabriel (if he even mentions it).

True but I think we all know it can do way better. With a strong presence like commercials, billboard adds, ect; it should do well, but I know one thing will hold this back and that is the would be reviewers, I do not think another Damon Hatfield(IGN) is necessary.

The problem with a sequel to Curse of Darkness is.. well, that entire timeline is sort of abandoned for the time being. The new timeline with Lords of Shadow can turn into pretty much anything, so there's always a possibility that Hector returns in one form or another. But basing an entire game around Hector and/or Isaac (and have the story follow Curse of Darkness) is not something I see ever happening, at least not as long as Mercury Steam are developing Castlevania games. Heck, even IGA would probably not touch that game again, let alone make a direct sequel.

But yeah, Hector could return someday, but most likely in name only though. Like Cornell, in Lords of Shadow.

EDIT: Maybe Hector and Isaac could return in a Mercury Steam game as some kind of boss duo? That would probably be pretty cool. But I'd rather not see Hector as a hero or a good guy again. Make him EVIL!

I hope that game will have some outdoor areas, maybe on Dracula's territory. I don't actually like the idea of the BIG game (20+ hours) set only in the castle.

I wonder what was so offensive or wrong with this comment to warrant minusing?

But my point is that I keep seeing people call him "Dracul" and saying that he is not Dracula when Cox himself and the official ingame concept art says otherwise.

Would you say this is a clear mistake on Cox and his team's part?

Yea that is a possibility.

I just want people to quit saying his is not Dracula and vice versa since as of right now the confusion that is there has not made it clear and it will not be clear until the next game I believe.

Maybe we should just use Dracula/Dracul when referring to him?
