They do look alike but why is he not using his combat cross?

Maybe Dracula destroys it in Mirror of Fate?

Dunno about you guys but that sword looks pretty katana-esque to me. :-X

With the curve of the sword I though it might of been a Kilij

Perhaps. Or maybe he gets turned and can't even touch it anymore.

Just watched the trailer. Not excited at all. I mean, the trailer shows nothing, at all. It's just a CG...

Maybe he thought it was not going to be a practical weapon against Gabriel seeing as how he destroyed his version of the CC so easy.

I'm not convinced. Sure they look similar, but their armor is pretty different and their details are different. This by no means is definitive, but I guess I'm just holding out that they aren't the same person. I thought making Gabriel a Belmont, was honestly, pretty stupid and the sort of thing I'd expect from Hollywood. Doing the same with Trevor/Alucard would be cliche and equally stupid. I expect better.

Well at least it's a fact that you still play as Gabriel confirmed by Cox via twitter

"Dave Cox‏@CastlevaniaLOS

@ARB9119 - Dracula is the main character you play, yes! #vampire powers"

Crazy. I really didn't expect them to make a game about Dracula as the main character.

I guess it was to be expected since this timeline is all about the story of gabriel.

i just don't know why they'd make Alucard a separate character if this is the last game in the series and Gabriel already has a son. too little time to introduce another child just to keep in line with a continuity they've already distanced themselves from.

Sweet, it was hoping Dracula would be the playabe character.

Watch them pull a MGS2 and have you play as Alucard for the rest of the game when Dracula goes missing.

I just noticed something.

Gabe at one point walks past a mirror, and naturally, casts no reflection.

But our white haired stranger, reflects his face off his sword.
Laura and Gabriel arrive in the deepest cave of the castle and... they find IGA.
