But guys, Gabriel gets his powers back as he goes along, and moist likely his outfit too. In the trailers you see him wearing his Epilogue outfit, but with his hair already back to "normal". (when he turns into smoke and enters what looks like a pipe organ)
And that scene where that weird demon thing grabs him by the arm and tosses him, I have a hunch is modern times.
Keep in mind: all this nonsense about the Castle turning against him, is modern day stuff. He doesnt have that problem in his prime. But after a thousand year slumber in hiding... The castle, being what it is, denounced him as it's owner. (or is being influenced by Satan's forces, which is also possible) So as modern Drac, you have to reclaim the castle.
You won't play the whole game as raggy epilogue Dracula. Would you imagine Dracula allowing himself to walk around in that shit more than he has to?
As for Victor, his clothes feel vaguely modern, but it's the addition of a hood and the armor that makes it feel medievalish. keep in mind that Cox and Co have said that this modern city will be styled to fit in with the gothic aesthetics of shit like the castle. I imagine that Victor's armor parts might most likely be passed down or something. (along with the combat cross)
Victor is probably the Belmont who killed Dracula before his slumber.
Actually, given the original LoS 2 teaser, that shows Alucard facing Dracula in the battlefield at the end, I think Alucard, with the stake-forged sword, might be the one who defets him and sends him into his slumber.
Actually, lets theorize here: what if even the holy power of the sword cannot fully kill him? Much like the original was a part of chaos and would just revive or reincarnate, what if having absorbed TFO's vast power just plain makes him unkillable? Which would be why he would need Zobek's help to finally die. Zobek controls death, he could release Gabriel from eternal life. otherwise Im sure he could just jump onto Alucards sword or impale himself with a cross or something. he said he cannot die yet he cannot live. aside from the mandatory being a vampire eternal unlife mopey stuff, what if he means it literally, he can not die?
