To quote a overused meme "That's not even his final form!"
Hmm! I didn't even think of that! That would be interesting, he's already implied to be Dr. Frankenstein, him being Dr. Jekyll would be a cool twist as well.

Altair confirmed for LoS2.

Oh, and anyone who says they enjoyed the Titan boss fights in LoS is lying horribly. Let's call this Cox disease.
Castlevania: Lords of Shadow sucks
DmC: Devil may Cry is the equivalent of trailer trash
"badly designed fat left on Lords of Shadow 2's bones."

Lords of Shadow's combat system is an UPDATED version of Lament of Innocence.

Just no, LoI is more like DmC while LoS is more like GoW. In LoS you got massive attacks with excessive crowd control while in LoI the whip ACTS more like a whip and doesnt do all these crazy things.

What do they do in DMC games?

Also folks like you are the reason that IGA vs Cox wars start.

Just saiyan.

Takes two to tango.

So I would not say guys like him are entirely to blame for IGA vs Cox wars.

If you don't want to see it happen than ignore him and let him have say what he wants.

Or there is that nifty ignore function the forum has.

Just saiyan...

Well, I just watched the new gameplay video and I like what I see for the most part. Yes, the combat looks a lot like the combat from LoS1, but it has a faster pace, and instead of light and shadow magic, you have 2 special weapons each one with one of those effects and its own attack style. I like how the focus bar seems to fill faster. It always felt so slow in LoS1.

The fact that the castle is actually alive and trying to kill you is awesome. In SotN, Alucard says that the castle is a creature of Chaos. Now in the LoS series, we actually have one that is. I didn't that coming and I can't wait to see what other surprises MS has in store for us.

The one thing I am a little worried about is the part where we see Dracula protecting the child Trevor. It looks like an escort mission (something I hate with a passion). I just hope that that kid doesn't have his own health bar. If he does, that means that he can die. And, that is what I hate about escort missions. The AI of the person you are trying to protect is usually retarded to the point in which they will actually run headlong into danger. In my experience, the individual either gets killed by an enemy or will get in my way to the point in which I actually kill them. This is why I hate them so much. Please let the kid be unkillable. Please!!!!!!!!!!!!
Behold my power and tremble

I doubt it will be pure escort. might be just a "defeat the enemies to rescue him" and shit

Everything looks amazing, except that Victor, looks like he lives in the middle ages, but cool anyway. If he is the modern times Belmont, he must have a very interesting backstory, having his eye scarred and him being the ''last''. A game about him would kick ass, or at least his bestiary entry must explain a lot about him.

I don't think he is a modern day Belmont, or at least he isn't in the trailer.

Think about it, he was talking to "prime Gabriel/Dracula" in the trailer, before he went into the long slumber and woke up in the modern days.

So I think he is dressed appropriately for the century he may be living in.

At this point I'm thinking there may not "technically" be a modern day belmont in this game.

I'm expecting MS to maybe go the "Genya Arikado route by having Alucard adapt to the modern day times personality and style wise and have him secretly take on his father in the shadows.

Cox did hint at him possibly drinking blood and becoming Trevor again as far as appearance goes, I can totally see them going that route with Alucard in the modern times.

I can go for multiple forms. I love it when some bosses surprise me(Olrox in SotN) and go all out second form on you! Hell, I want to see Zobek go pure Death, and Satan change into something other than a dark haired nude guy in black mist. If there was ANY of the LoS to go all out with the multiple form transformations, it's THIS one!!!!

Victor is probably the Belmont who killed Dracula before his slumber.

But guys, Gabriel gets his powers back as he goes along, and moist likely his outfit too. In the trailers you see him wearing his Epilogue outfit, but with his hair already back to "normal". (when he turns into smoke and enters what looks like a pipe organ)

And that scene where that weird demon thing grabs him by the arm and tosses him, I have a hunch is modern times.

Keep in mind: all this nonsense about the Castle turning against him, is modern day stuff. He doesnt have that problem in his prime. But after a thousand year slumber in hiding... The castle, being what it is, denounced him as it's owner. (or is being influenced by Satan's forces, which is also possible) So as modern Drac, you have to reclaim the castle.

You won't play the whole game as raggy epilogue Dracula. Would you imagine Dracula allowing himself to walk around in that shit more than he has to?

As for Victor, his clothes feel vaguely modern, but it's the addition of a hood and the armor that makes it feel medievalish. keep in mind that Cox and Co have said that this modern city will be styled to fit in with the gothic aesthetics of shit like the castle. I imagine that Victor's armor parts might most likely be passed down or something. (along with the combat cross)

Victor is probably the Belmont who killed Dracula before his slumber.

Actually, given the original LoS 2 teaser, that shows Alucard facing Dracula in the battlefield at the end, I think Alucard, with the stake-forged sword, might be the one who defets him and sends him into his slumber.

Actually, lets theorize here: what if even the holy power of the sword cannot fully kill him? Much like the original was a part of chaos and would just revive or reincarnate, what if having absorbed TFO's vast power just plain makes him unkillable? Which would be why he would need Zobek's help to finally die. Zobek controls death, he could release Gabriel from eternal life. otherwise Im sure he could just jump onto Alucards sword or impale himself with a cross or something. he said he cannot die yet he cannot live. aside from the mandatory being a vampire eternal unlife mopey stuff, what if he means it literally, he can not die?

Alucard battling him doesnt mean that automatically he wins, IMO Alucard will severely wound Gabriel and lose, maybe even almost dying with Gabriel sparing him one last time, then because of it, someone else taking a chance to finish Gabriel with a common Combat Cross or something else special will happen (Gabriel will enter in slumber because he doesnt want to be in this world anymore or something like that for example, like Alucard did after CV3).

If Gabriel is alive until modern times its because Alucard failed. Well, thats what I expect for now.
