I have to say, I'm very impressed with the particle effects I'm seeing. Some of the particles in the last two games could be a bit, eh, but it seems like they've gotten a handle on it. The green fire in the first pic looks great.

Some stealth seemed a given, given this image that surfaced ages ago

And I kind of like the idea. avoid the light or you burn the fuck up.
Laura and Gabriel arrive in the deepest cave of the castle and... they find IGA.

This is a shitty idea... without any context. The prince of darkness, indeed...

Hope it makes sense when we know why is he doing this. Being weak is a really lame explanation

I got excited when I read "dragon form", but judging from the screen shot, it does indeed appear to be like the crystal summon from the first game (same background and lighting and whatnot). Let's hope I'm wrong. It'd be badass to transform into a dragon for a limited amount of time to fuck shit up.

I like that screen of Gabe looking at the castle. It reminds me of a few other instances, particularly Simon looking at the castle in MoF.

And I'm a sucker for the stealth genre, so I hope that stuff is really fun. Still want a reasonable explanation as to why Gabe's sneaking, though. Kinda makes me hope more MGS costume references are made as unlockables now...

Lol, what if Kojima is lying about how he isn't involved in the game... He did that with The Phantom Pain debut on how it wasn't MGS. Now as much as I love MGS, I only want few references where I go "Ahhh, I see what you did there." but I don't want Dracula hiding inside a cardboard box. I don't what stealth 'sections', I want stealth 'mechanics' in it. Like Skyrim, where it is an action game but you can do stealth IF YOU WANT TO. I know some people wont like stealth so it should just remain as a mechanic. Be tactical or go head on. That is what Castlevania needs if it wants to survive or even progress in modern gaming. Games that have various mechanics and gameplay styles thrive on. I think it needs nice Immersion in my opinion.

It's this kind of idea that I absolutely enjoy. Unfortunately, sometimes that kind of freedom is given flak from the "hardcore gamers" when it deviates from the franchise's original formula. Even if it's just a mechanic, it's still gonna be bashed for being there, since the LoS franchise was always about hacking and slashing.

Just look at Metal Gear Solid 4. It gave you options about whether or not you wanting to be tactical and avoid combat, or take the difficult route and run-n-gun your way through. The latter option was totally against the genre, and that received a LOT of flak from several "hardcore" MGS fans (particularly those that dwell on GameFAQs).

Can't really speak for the Elder Scrolls series as I haven't played it that much. I spent a few hours in Morrowind, but that was when I was a wee lad.

Anyway, hope what I said made sense at all.

Oh boy, stealth sections in an action game. With any luck we will also get a long escort mission with a suicidal person that likes to run into crowds of enemies.
