Although I still like it a lot, I'm a little disappointed with the Satan battle music. I was expecting it to sound even better in game, but the live version from Play Fest actually sounds better. 
The last minute or so is still amazing though.

Carmilla's Fight is really growing on me too, especially those ascending strings in the second half.

Those "Belmont's Theme" remixes in the Toy Maker tracks are awesome.

Well the OST was pretty nice, but damn, not a single classic track anywhere. Just some reorchestrated MoF tracks.

I will never touch MEGA download again. I've spent half an hour battling "temporary error" messages, intermittent download speeds, constant freezing, and disappearing files on three different browsers used in every setting imaginable. I was ready to fling my laptop out of the window.

But then I gave up, and installed their download manager... And lo! Download speed jumped from under 100 kbps to 1 Mbps, completing the download safely in a few minutes. 

So, in case that isn't clear enough, I utterly despise 1st party download managers. That includes every variant of the "faster/secure/ad-free downloads if you register/sign up/donate/support/pay/use our download" pitch. We're sorry, but you must wait 64 hours before trying to download again UNLESS you get our premium benefit membership for only $5 a month -- Warning! If you press the "free download" button, you will suffer a long and painful download! See how the speedometer's red? Upgrade to premium now, where everything is green! Or simply use our COMPLETELY FREE download manager, where we're only install thirty-six different pieces of adware if you're not careful and thirty-five even if you actually are.
All of it complete and utter BS.

I'll probably follow up with a soundtrack review once I've calmed down.

in the meantime, i was cleaning out my bellybutton until i realized, who will buy the strategy guide for the game. maybe since OSM is still stuck in the ps2-era he can at least afford the strat guide an tell us if it reveals anytjhing juicy

I've listened to the OST, and I only have one thing to say: Araujo has outdone himself again.

So here's the answer that burning question I'd had -- Yes, LoS2's soundtrack actually does manage to sound worse than either LoS's or MoF's. Hell, I didn't even think that was possible until now.

Granted, most of Araujo's previous works were bland, but they never truly went below mediocrity. Yet this time around I've listened to tracks so altogether incoherent that I can't describe them as anything else but awful. LoS's music was often uninspired, but never really poorly composed; and yet most of LoS2's music possesses so little structure or form that I can't blame the OST's flaws on simple creative droughts anymore. In essence, I've never heard any of Araujo's music actually sound bad before...

The soundtrack isn't without its strong points, of course -- Dracula's Theme, for one, stands among the game's few enjoyable pieces -- but on the whole it's an undeniable disappointment. LoS's mistakes haven't just been repeated; they've gotten noticeably worse.
