Say what you want about IGA and his interpretation of the original canon, but at least in the end he had Dracula put away for good by the belmont clan with the Help of Alucard.

Judging by that spoiler Cox and co just have Alucard and Dracula make at the end which really put a damper on the many year long feud they had. Belive it or not I expected more out of MS, they actually do have some skills in the storytelling department, I thought they where going to attempt to go the tragic route with LOS2 near the end of it, but after reading how it ends I can't help but feel let down.

They could have at least had Alucard finally kill Dracula in the end or have Dracula kills Alucard, either way it would have been more tragic and better (IMO) than having them kiss and make up in the end.

The death of LOS2's last Belmont had been predictable for me at least since Cox said this.

Actually he lied yet again, if that spoiler is true Alucard lives at the end as well, he is also technically a belmont like his father, so Gabriel/Dracula was not the last belmont left standing. but its a shame that the only 2 belmonts alive are 2 very powerful and dark vampires... why the crap did Victor have to die!?

Yeah exactly. That's just ridiculously lame. Though, I suppose anti-climatic is what I'd use to describe the LoS series in a whole...

Honestly at this point hearing about all the spoilers, and after playing that underwhelming and glitchy demo, this whole second game sounds really lame. It really just places LoS1 as the high point of the series, and it's been all downhill fast from here. Though in my opinion that isn't much praise, as LoS1 was riddled with it's own issues...

If that really is how it all ends then I don't see how this is going to be something they want everyone to talk about for awhile. I remember reading something Cox said about the ending hoping it would be something people could talk about for years. He sure did a good job hyping this up to be a "tragic story," because the only tragic thing is apparently Victor's death, who is pretty much supposed to be the Julius Belmont of the LoS series.

I really hoped Victor would have been the one to finish Gabe for good, because he yearned for release and he IS Dracula. This is just the complete opposite of what I was hoping would happen. To me, now we have two canons with unfulfilled endings.

I would have wished we would actually fight the Leviathan and not just on top of said Leviathan. Do you know if Dracula's doppelganger will transform into a Dragon and if we will fight the castle's blood as a Boss (not Carmilla, but as you know one blood creature)? I bet it's that Legion looking thing.

I like the ending, for one is very original and not self sacrificing. Also remember it's all about the execution, MoF ending sounded terrible on paper and it was great
